Why CE?
Boards Mission: Protect the Public Effective Continuing Education helps
chiropractors remain current which is in the best interest of patient care

No review of CE by any oversight body
Each jurisdiction has its unique academic and quality requirements

PACE:Win-Win-Win-Win Doctors Patients Regulatory Boards Providers of Continuing Education
How does PACE work? CE providers agree to voluntarily
comply with PACE Criteria and Policies and Procedures in the development of CE offerings
CE providers are granted blanket approval of courses built in accordance with PACE
How does PACE work? Regulatory Boards recognize PACE approval
Boards may still approve non PACE programs directly as they do now
Participating CE providers seek PACE recognition for their institutions or organizations
PACE Recognized Providers register courses with FCLB and comply with requirements
Alternatives to PACE Approval CE Providers offering programs in
limited areas may still seek direct board approval or partnering with professional associations
Associations may seek approval from the boards as they currently do
Associations may elect to partner with a PACE Recognized Provider if they find it’s in their best interest
PACE Structure FCLB Board of Directors has overall
responsibility
PACE Committee recommends whether providers should be Recognized
PACE Review Team reviews providers and performs course reviews for compliance with Criteria and Policies and Procedures.

Review applications for Recognized Provider status, make recommendations to PACE Committee
Retrospectively review course content for compliance with PACE requirements

Fees $500 – One time application fee
$1000 – annual recognition dues
$50 – course registration fee(good for multiple offerings)
FCLB Recordkeeping Provider reports DC attendance to
FCLB ALLDOCS database
FCLB automatically verifies attendance to regulatory boards as service to DC and service to member boards
$10 paid per registrant
