A montage created by blending two images together and the use of typography.
1. Set background image to 11 x 8.5.2. I chose an older picture of my dad and I and adjusted the levels to make it a little brighter.3. I used the lasso tool, with the feather included, to make it look more blended on top of my background.4. I added a mask to the older photo and adjusted the opacity until it was just right.5. To the whole image, I made it less vibrant.6. I added two contrasting fonts and added an effect to the smaller font to make it stand out more.

DateCreate three different logos for the same company.
First logo: I used the polygon tool to create hexagons of different sizes and colors. I played around with different fonts to see which contrasted together nicely.
Second logo: I used the ellipse tool to make two circles, one was filled black and the other smaller one filled pink. I put the pink one on top of the black one. I also used two contrasting fonts inside the circle.
Third logo: I used the rectangle tool to create one big and small rectangle to create a camera. I used the ellipse tool for the lens of the camera. I used to contrasting fonts as well.

DateA two sided (duplex) folding brochure.
I used Adobe Photoshop to quick select my photos and put a cut out image on the brochure and I used Adobe InDesign for the rest. I used the pen tool and some shapes to create the Hong Kong skyline on the front. I also put my color scheme on the front with the rectangle tool to add the orange and brick colors.
I wrote my body copy and split it into three sections: About, Places to go, and Facts. I put a line next to the headings to separate them all and to create more flow. I used the text wrap tool on the facts section.
I created the logo that is on the back in Adobe Illustrator.
I learned how to wrap text around an image in InDesign.

Black and white flier to promote the Graduate Leadership Conference.
I started my process brainstorming ideas for the flier through sketches. I then went to Adobe InDesign and began putting my ideas in place. I used the dark, black box as the focal point and the contrasting gray box as the point of the conference. I kept my body copy small and simple. I also used bullet points to emphasize the date, time, and place. I was given the image, logo, and content.
I became familiar with Adobe InDesign and learned the importance in contrast with colors, shapes, and type.

Demonstrate good photography and image editing skills. Incorporating color into a poster layout with original photo.
I decied my color scheme was going to be split complementary with brick/orange, blue, and lime. I took a picture of a southern cookbook. I then brought the photo into Photoshop and used these specific editing techniques: levels, sharpness, saturation, and color balance. I used a 8.5x11 layout.
I learned how to plan and prepare for a photo shoot before taking a photo. I learned how to pick a color scheme. I also learned that Photoshop isn’t just used to edit photos.
