Read the passages in the worksheets below and answer the questions in full sentences.

• WORKSHEET - Writing - Scottish Animal fact file
➢ Task 1 - Work through the Our Wild Scotland Powerpoint in the Literacy files on Teams.
➢ Task 2 - Choose a Scottish animal to research. Please include an explanation of why it is
well adapted to the environment it lives in and the food it eats. Also include what class
of living thing it is i.e. mammal, reptile, amphibian, bird, fish etc.
There is a blank fact file worksheet below. You can choose an animal that is now extinct
or that has been reintroduced. Use this website to help you find an animal you are
interested in researching:

Additional Curricular Areas
• Health and Wellbeing - Friendships: What is a friend? Lockdown has made it difficult to stay in touch with our friends. We are going to think about
what you would want from a friend just now and what kind of friend you can be. You do not
need to be best friends with everyone, but you can be friendly and kind.
➢ Task 1 - Look at the PowerPoint about Friendship (in files in The
Other Channel on Teams) and then answer the questions on the

• Expressive Arts - Food Chain Art
Find a food chain you would like to work with. Here are a few examples:

If you can, try to make your food chain one that occurs in Scotland.
To create your art, you will need to place one link of the food chain within the open mouth of
another, so for the first example above, the owl would be eating the mouse, which would be
eating the corn. You will need to consider the sizes of each of the links to ensure they all fit. You
may create your art using coloured paper to collage as in the examples below, or you can
draw/paint/colour it if you wish.
• Perfect Pancakes –Tuesday 16th February is Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day
This year why not get creative with your pancakes by trying a new recipe, new toppings
or trying to make your pancakes into different shapes. Find some unusual pancake
recipes (including vegan) here:

This week we are starting a new topic ‘Les vêtements - clothes’.
We’ll be focusing on learning some winter clothes, and how to say ‘a’ and ‘some’ in
French. First, watch French clothes lesson 1, then do the worksheet attached.
