The Model 2482 is a high precision standard that pro-vides unsurpassed perform-ance in the field of differen-tial pressure metrology at high static line pressures. The Model 2482 continues GE’s standard of excellence and innovation building on over 5o years of piston gauge manufacturing exper-tise. Designed to calibrate virtu-ally any pressure device at high static line pressures the 2482 is a revolutionary breakthrough providing a fast, easy and accurate solu-tion to what has historically been a time consuming and technique dependant proc-ess. Featuring a patented triple-piston assembly this new primary standard has been designed to calibrate virtually any differential pres-sure sensing device from 0 to 850 inH20 (2100 mbar) at line pressures up to 2900

Model 2482 can be used to calibrate virtually any hydraulic or pneumatic pressure device, includ-ing other industrial or portable piston gauges, transducers, transmit-ters, gauges or pressure switches. Windows-based menu-driven software both con-trols the piston gauge and provides the full range of necessary cor-rections and calcula-tions.

Features :

• Differential Pressure Standard

• Accuracy 40 ppm of reading + 0.0013 psi

Accuracy is defined as the ex-panded uncertainty in pressure determined using the method described in the ISO Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement and represents an approx 95% level of confi-dence.

• Long term stability—better than 10ppm per year

• Static pressure range to 2900 psi (200bar)

• Differential pressure range to 850 inH20 (2100 mbar)

• Hydraulic and pneu-matic operation

• Software provided for operation and data management

• Fast and easy to op-erate.

Model 2482 is ideally suited as a calibrating instrument for a wide range of applications requiring best-possible accuracy at high line pressures such as the calibration of pressure transmitters used in custody transfer measurements in the oil and gas industry and turbine efficiency testing in the power generation sectors

GE Sensing Houston - renews ISO/IEC ACCREDITATION

Accreditation of calibration laboratories is performed by recognized Accreditation Bod-ies. In 2001, Ruska (now part of GE Sensing, selected NVLAP (National Voluntary Labo-ratory Accreditation Program-operated by NIST Technology Services) as the accrediting body when the original accreditation of the Houston facility was performed. To maintain accreditation to ISO 17025, a site audit is required every two years, and this was carried out at the Houston facility in late October. The NVLAP Audit Team have now completed the site audit and the assessment went well. New certification is expected to be re-ceived by mid December, to view the current NVLAP Certificate visit our website http://www.apc.co.nz/Resources/Certification.html
