My name is Benjamin and I am a celebrity. The name by which I am known willprobably ring a big bell. I remember the timewhen I first met my wife Elizabeth. She wasattracted by my bombastic bel-ly voice and Iwas fascinated by her size. We were youngand brand new. In October 1858 we met forthe first time. It was love at first height. Wehad a great time, but after some weeks mywife complained about my weight. I went ona diet. Before I came back, I lost around 2tons. Now we could move in together. Ournew address is next to the Westminster Abby. The view from the 96 meters is just great. From my place you can see Tate museum,Buckingham Palace and the St. James Park.We are a famous couple and therefore wehave always had a lot of visitors, but since lastyear they don’t come anymore, because of ahuman virus. I’m glad that we cannot catch it.However, we have our own difficulties. Weare getting older and fragile and it was timefor a makeover. Unfortunately, nobody toldus, how long it would take. So we have livedwith a scaffolding in front of us for 4 yearsnow, and it sucks.

I guess you will know who I am?

So hi, I am the Tower Bridge, but Ithink you know me because I amfinally the most familiar Bridge in theentire world, although many peopleconfuse me with my neighbor, theLondon Bridge. In the song "LondonBridge" by the American singerFergie, Tower Bridge is actuallymeant. I was built in 1886 on the 21stof June, so right now I am 134 yearsold. I'm not for people who sufferfrom altitude sickness, after all, I'm 42m high. It’s very sad that my builderwasn’t able to see my completion. But…It is what it is. If you are ever inLondon you should definitely visitthe upper pedestrian bridge. Fromthere you will have a wonderful view,I promise.

What a quiet day! Fewer cars thanusual cross the Thames with my helpand there are also fewer people thanusual on the road who talk whiletaking selfies with me. I am the TowerBridge and in my opinion the mostbeautiful bridge all over London. Nowith my two pretty towers, I'mdefinitely the prettiest bridge in thewhole world! Or at least half theworld. Finally, I can just listen to therushing water of the Thames. It's notalways that quiet. No that quiet it isreally rare. This is probably due tothis virus, what is its name again? AhI've got it Covid19, that's its name.Luckily, bridges can't get infectedwith it, imagine this: a bridge with acough... or a fever. But this virusalready has something good for me: Idon't have to open up so often to letships pass by. I hate that! It's reallyexhausting.

Good Morning my name is LondonEye. I’m so big that I have anoverview, so I can see very muchfrom London. But I’m not so old. Iwas born on 31st December 1999. My32 capsules can carry 800 people.Sometimes it is exhausting to carry somany people. I have more than 3.5visitors each year. I’m proud of me,that so many people like me and wantto see me. Sometimes when I’mbored, I talk to the Big Ben. He is mybest friend. But I also like the TowerBridge. I like to look atthe peoplewhen they are on me or around me.When it’s night it’s not so loud so Ican have a good sleep. Sometimes if Ican’t sleep, I watch the numerouslights in the city. It’s beautiful. Then Iwill be tired quickly and can sleepwell.

Hello, I am the London Eye. I am a bigattraction and I think I am the biggest giantwheel on earth. It is not always easy to carry800 people. This is very heavy andexhausting. Sometimes there are very famouspeople that ride on me. This is very nice. Iam now 22 years old, but I think I willbecome older. I am surrounded by abeautiful view. I can look over the whole city.I live on the banks of a river. The humans callit “Thames”. If you want to ride on me, youmust buy an expensive entrance fee and waitin a long queue. Sometimes I have to vomitbecause of the fast turning all day. At night Iam not turning, so I can sleep better. At nightI can also see the lights of the whole city. I seethe lights of the Tower Bridge, the Big Benand other famous buildings. My best friend isthe Tower Bridge. He is a bridge with fun. Ifone of us has a problem, we talk to each otherabout it. My girlfriend is the WestminsterBridge, okay she is not really my girlfriendbecause I didn’t tell her that I love her and Idon’t know if she loves me too. I can’t tell itto her. I am too afraid! The Tower Bridgebelieves that I should tell her about myfeelings, but…

Whatever it is nice to be the London Eye.

I’m the flag of the Buckingham Palace. I havethe best view over London. When the Queenis at home, I’m so happy, that I go up to theflagpole, but when she’s abroad, I’m reallydown. I especially love the so called“changing of the guard”. The ceremony issimple, but impressive. A few members ofthe Royal Foot Guard are formally changedand are accompanied by a marching bandwhich plays march music, but also modernpieces. I danced to the music so talentedlythat I thought the ceremony should be called“wag the flag”, but the queen’s administrationwas not amused about my suggestion. I lovethe view over London’s parks and to watchthe people having picknicks and playinggames, but sometimes, especially when it’snot windy, it is a little bit boring. Fortunately,I’m sometimes visited by my friend theraven. He lives in in the London Tower andhe is very famous, because he is one of the“seven ravens”. Sometimes I think aboutgoing on holiday, so I asked my raven friendto pick a hole in my beautiful fabric body.Unfortunately, I wasn’t sent to the Bahamas, but to the majesty’s tailor. He threatened meto be replaced by a younger flag, if I do thatagain, so I decided to stay a proud andsatisfied Buckingham Palace flag.

Hi, I’m the Lee Valley Velodrome. Iwas built in 2009 and so I’m still achild but I’m a famous sight. Maybebecause the summer Olympics in2012 where 800 000 people visitedme. That was a very great day of mylife, although the trash made me sickand I felt pain in my stomach.Another great year was 2015 becausemy favourite bicyclist BradleyWiggins broke the hour world recordand drove 54,526 km in an hour withhis bike. A few weeks ago, my friendthe Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santosfrom Rio de Janeiro and I made atelephone call and talked about woodand he was very jealous that in me are56 kilometres of spruce and 350 000nails. We also talked about the greatyear 2016 because there was the UICcycling race in me and in his stomachwere the summer Olympics. Maybeyou want to visit me now and we canmeet each other at one day.
