INTRODUCTORY

The Company

Aegis is an industrial castings & valves manufacturing company. Historically it is being founded by Mr. Prabhubhai Prajapati’ in the year of 2008. Having complete thorough knowledge in metal casting and manufacturing Industrial Valves.

At AEGIS we manufacture full range of steel grades listed below.

1. WCB, 2. SS ( 304,316, 304L & 316L ) 3. Duplex steel 4. Monel Metal grades 5. Inconel Grades etc. 6. Aluminium-Bronze castings 7. Alloy -20 etc.

History: Basic concept in establishment of the enterprise was to serve domestic industry in terms of quality products with competitive price. The company fulfils local & overseas demands with our quality products since established.

Infrastructure:

AEGIS is spread in 3000 Sq.Yds. of shop floor area & 2000 Sq.ft. office areas. The company comprises optimum facility for industrial valves manufacturing within house testing facility. Machinery includes high precise machining facility such as CNC turning centre. For testing of valves we have automatic test bench which has facility to test hydraulic testing & pneumatic testing as well. In addition 6 valves can be tested in one go. Highly skilled labour is involved in manufacturing. More to that our workmen are with us since many years and are satisfied in all aspects.

Inspection & Testing: The factory includes pressure testing facility for testing of products. The testing capabilities are as follows.

Sieve Testing: The utility is to detect Dusting Granular Size of particles

Spectro Analysis:

SPECTROMETER (BRUKNER, Gmbh.)

Material check carried out of each heat for chemical composition with this facility.

UNIVERSAL TESTING MACHINE (MCS)

Physical properties can be tested with this facility. Such as Compression; Bend; Tensile tests can be carried out.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

At Aegis we are an ISO 9001-2008 company. A standard documentary system includes internal communications between different sections such as marketing, purchase, stores, planning, production, knock out, fettling, inspection and testing, heat treatment, machining etc.

All departments are responsible for their assigned roles and duties. Performance measurement is taken on regular time intervals.

Quality parameter is taken care at each stage of order execution.

Critical activities are identified and monitored accordingly during the execution.

Customers are given regular feedback on different stages till the completion of entire task.

Purchase policies are well established and monitored thru for outsourcing and bought out items.

Inspection & Testing:

At AEGIS we have standard testing system of raw materials & finished parts as per EN: 10204 3.1 & 3.2. The inspection is carried out in three parts.

Quality management systems are established to provide focus and direction within an organisation; to have a positive impact on operational effectiveness resulting in a high quality product or service.

Inspection and testing is done against the approved drawings, purchase order specifications, purchasers or company standards. The applicable codes and specifications for a valve that is under the construction process is:

The applicable codes and standards are based on other international standards. These are the list of documents that are normally agreed upon to be presented to the inspector:

The process Includes......

1. Material Incoming Inspection : All incoming material and outsources parts are inspected either at supplier’s premises or at our premises after finished process. The process is controlled by quality inspector. For castings MSS SP-55 is referred.

2. In Process Inspection:

Each part after completion of each process like machining, drilling, lapping, are inspected individually prior to assembly.

3. Final inspection a) Finished parts b) Assembly c) Pressure tests/Performance tests

1. Material Incoming Inspection:

Work order instructions are followed and material is checked thoroughly prior to issue.

MTC are reviewed and confirmed the content with PO requirements.

All castings & Forgings are visually checked for surface defects.

2. In Process Inspection: Cut lengths of bars are checked dimensionally prior to

machining and after machining. Finished parts are finally checked dimensionally prior to

assembly.

3. Final Inspection: All sub-parts are checked prior to assembly. Pressure tests are carried out as per API-598.

Inspection is carried out as per EN 10204 3.1 & 3.2 systems as well.

MTC and pressure test reports are provided along with supply of goods.

NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING:

1. RT: At AEGIS this process is out sourced to certified agencies. Only reports are reviewed at our end.

2. PT: At AEGIS this process is done in house by qualified PT-Level-II personnel.

3. UT: At AEGIS this process is out sourced to certified agencies. Only reports are reviewed at our end.

4. MPT: At AEGIS this process is out sourced to certified agencies. Only reports are reviewed at our end.

5. PMI tests are also done and we support such requirements.
