across the entire country. Many other events were heldin our province which also recognized and celebrated girlsand women in sport. Our organization contributedby advocating at all levels or increased participation, rom grassroots to the podium, and 2010 will continueto be a year or us to grow our reach and infuence.

ProMOTION Plus has a story to tell on behal o

women and girls in sport and it is one o enlightenmentand success. Over the past year, we have connectedwith thousands o women rom sport administrators, participants, athletes and coaches to politicians andstakeholders in sharing our vision. We supportednumerous projects and services throughout BC thoughthe Girls Only Incentive program, activity programs orwomen 55 to 70 years old, youth inclusion initiatives, leadership workshops, recognition awards, increasednetworking, and representation on various committees.ProMOTION Plus continues to partner with other like-minded organizations with the goal o building capacity

    and sustaining growth.

In order to achieve success, governments and organizationat all levels must actively engage in new strategies. Newpartnerships are critical, including those with the privatesector. A multi-sector approach is essential to being succein todays challenging economic environment. ProMOTIO

Plus is striving to attract the corporate sector to our progrand special events. Our goal is to demonstrate that gettingmore women involved in sport and participating in a healtactive liestyle is good business. We look to expand ourhorizons through new partnerships and an eective netwowhereby we share inormation, increase our prole, anddevelop best practices to include girls and women. Moreimportantly, we plan to work with government to advocator a new policy on women and sport in BC that will genea strategy that makes good economic sense.

Our inaugural Annual Report celebrates a rich and ull twyear contribution to the sport community in British Colu

and contains a snapshot o our successes over the past yeaIt also provides an insight into the our strategic areaso ocus that we will continue to develop over the next20 years.
