MINDANAO RAILWAY PROJECT

• The 102 KM of the railway will be the first of the 3 segments of the Mindanao Railway Project —consisting of circumferential and spur lines that will connect the entire Davao Region
• The first segment of the project, Tagum-Davao-Digos line, has an 81.9 Billion peso budget that would reduce travel time from Tagum City, Davao del Norte to Digos, Davao del Sur to 1.3 hours from 3.5 hours
• Proposed 8 stations of Phase 1: Tagum, Carmen, Panabo(Davao del Norte) Mudiang, Davao Central, Toril (Davao City) Sta. Cruz, and Digos (Davao del Sur)
• As of JAN 2020, the project was confirmed to be a one-track locomotive. And is currently in the process of right-of-way acquisition.
• Target to break ground in Q3 2020
• Partial opening by 2022
