Talk about the ctreatures that live under the sea. Challenge 1 Can you draw a sea creature using circles and lines. Can you hold your pencil using a tripod grip. Challenge 2 Draw a picture of a creature that lives in the sea. Can you use your phonics to write its name. Challenge 3 Draw some creatures from the story. Can you use your phonics to write a list of creatures that live under the sea. Watch the ‘one more’ powerpoint. Draw an octopus Challenge 1 Number the tentacles 1- 8. Stick the matching number of sequins on each tentacle. Challenge 2 Number the tentacles 1- 8. Stick the matching number of sequins on the tentacles- can you say the number that is 1 more. Challenge 3 Use 2 different colours of sequins- how many different ways of making 8 can you find. Eg. 1 blue sequin and 7 red sequins. Share the under the sea habitats powerpoint. Demonstrate the cut and stick sorting activity- animals in the sea and animals on land. Why can’t the sea creatures live on land? Why can’t the land animals live in the sea? Freeze some sea creatures in ice- use warm water and calpol syringes to set them free! Enjoy the ‘commotion in the ocean’ yoga session by cosmic kids on youtube. Practice your cutting skills and make the octopus. Practice your pencil control using one of the sheets. Imagine that you are a diver in the ocean. What do you need to help you to breathe under the water. What will you see? Make an under the sea picture- here is an idea! Challenge 1Play a listening and attention game. Place some plastic sea creatures on a tray and cover with a blanket. Take one away- can they guess which is missing?Challenge 2Complete the letter formation ‘a’ sheet.Challenge 3Play a phonics play game

Challenge 1Play a describe and find it game with sea creatures. Look at the creatures on a tray- describe a creature- it has flippers and a hard shell, it has stripes and is orange.
