English Timeis a six-level communicative course intended
for elementary school students studying English for the first time.
Magic Timeis a two-level intoductory series for kindergarten
and early elementary students.
This Magic Time & English Time Sample Syllabus is designed to help teachers with lesson
planning and determining the schedule over a semester. Furthermore as administrators can
use this in planning a curriculum and setting up a comprehensive language program.
The amount of time allotted to each component of instruction will be dictated by the
teacher’s own style and objectives. However, a general guideline is offered for both a 45-
minute and a 50-minute class. For classes shorter than 60-minute, plan on covering one unit
every two classes.
The schedule below emphasizes the communicative aspects of learning. As a result, much
of the class time will be spent on presenting the language and doing extension activities.
Each level of Magic Time contains
• Student Book 1-2 • Workbook 1-2 • Teacher’s Book 1-2 • Teacher’s Book 1-2 (Korean Ed.)• Cassette/CD 1-2 • Picture & Word Card Book 1-2 • Wall Charts 1-2
