Rapport have gained an enviable reputation forquality and craftsmanship in the world ofhorology and we are proud of the Oxfordrange of pocket watches. Manufactured to thehighest standard these watches have drawntheir inspiration from watches of a bygone era.

The Oxford Range contains models withQuartz or Mechanical movements in each ofthe traditional forms of these ever-populartimepieces:–An Open-faced pocket watch, is one with nometal cover to protect the crystal watch face. Thependant is usually located at 12 o’clock and thesub-second dial located at the 6 o’clock position.

A Hunter-case pocket watch or “Full Hunter"has a case with a spring-hinged metal lid or cover,that closes over the watch-dial and crystal,protecting them from dust and other damage.Traditionally hunter-case watches have the lid-hinges at the 9 o'clock position and the stem ofthe watch at the 3 o'clock position but manymodern hunter-case pocket watches have thehinges at the 6 o'clock position and the stem atthe 12 o'clock position, as with open-facewatches.

The Half Hunter or “Demi-hunter” has a casewhere the outer lid has a glass panel or hole inthe centre to give a view of the hands. Often thehours are also marked on the outer lid to enableone to tell the time without opening the lid.

The rear panel on Hunter style watches is oftenhinged to allow it to open and reveal the intricacyof the movement, this style is referred to as“Double Opening”.
