The excitement amongst the students for the extraordinary outing began days before and the same was outshone on the day of picnic. Savitrian's were prepared and ready to explore the farm, trying hard to hold back their thrill and enthusiasm. This suppressed surge of emotions surfaced as soon as they entered their destination. They enjoyed the warm welcome by a group of drum players followed by the avour some breakfast. The students then dispersed to enjoy the several fun lled activities like camel ride and kite ying to outdoor games and sports like trampoline jumping, soccer and many more. The girls got into looking at Haryana's culture furthermore, with increasing interest and involved themselves in traditional activities like henna application, poery, painting frescoes on mud walls. There were also a wide variety of organized games ranging from sack race and lemon race to tambola and musical chairs. The food lovers indulged themselves in the traditional Haryanvi food. To put in the word of the students, the day ended way too quickly, but they carried back loads of learning and an incredible experience.

Ms Nalini Egbert along with her mentees visited the orphanage- Shaishav Shishu Kendra on December 3,2016.The group had planned an activity for the children of the orphanage where they had decided to discuss their aims and aspirations and help them to put the same in the form of a collage. The mentees were very excited and carried all the necessary materials with them. On reaching there, it was found that the children who were present at that time were of a smaller age group. So the girls made them do the activity in a different way. They divided the children into small groups and each girl took charge of a group. Each group was given old books with pictures, chart papers, scissors and fevistick and children were asked to divide the chart paper into two halves. In one half, they stuck the pictures of things liked the most by them while in the other half; they stuck the pictures of the things they disliked. It was a pleasure sight, to witness the girls interacting with the children and helping them to do the task. Each one had put her very sincere effort in doing the activity planned with those children. Girls were very gentle, patient and helpful and communicated very effectively with all age groups. It was great fun and interesting to know some of their reasons for their likes and dislikes. The children of the orphanage were very happy with girls. In all, the whole exercise was very fruitful.

La Vidijeunesse Vol. XXIII-VII December, 2016

Commemorating the 400th Death Anniversary of the 'Bard of Avon'!“Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.” –William ShakespeareTo commemorate the 400th Death Anniversary of William Shakespeare, The Bard of Avon, the students of Classes IV- VII and X had put up an assembly wherein they enlightened the audience by brieng them about the personal life and literary works of the greatest dramatist of all times. His famous quotes, the powerful Funeral speech of Mark Antony from Julius Caesar and the soliloquy from his famous play, Hamlet were delivered by the students. It was an incredible show put up by the students which was appreciated by one and all present in the audience.FACTS THAT YOU PROBABLY DON'T KNOW ABOUT WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE!Ÿ Shakespeare has been credited for introducing more than 3,000 words to the English language by the Oxford dictionary. It is estimated

that his vocabulary range from 17,000 to a dizzying 29,000 words– at least double the number of words used by the average conversationalist.

Ÿ We probably don't spell Shakespeare's name correctly—but no issues, neither did he. In the few original signatures that have survived we come to know that Shakespeare spelt his name 'Willm Shaksp,' 'William Shakespe,' 'Wm Shakspe,' 'William Shakspere,' 'Willm Shakspere,' and 'William Shakspeare' but there are no records present which spells it as 'William Shakespeare.'
