Senior Vice President/CIO & Chief Supply Chain Officer 

 David Johns is senior vice president, chief information officer and chief supply chain officer of Owens Corning, with responsibility for the Supply Chain and Technology Solutions (SCTS) organization.  SCTS includes all Owens Corning customer service centers, global logistics, manufacturing technology, project portfolio management, and information systems. Prior to his current role, Johns served as senior vice president and chief technology officer where he led the Owens Corning Technology Group, which paired the company’s Science & Technology and Information Systems organizations.   He also served as vice president and chief information officer with responsibility for all Information Systems activities for Owens Corning on a global basis.  In 1994, Johns joined Owens Corning’s Information Systems department as the global development leader for three of the Advantage 2000 projects: People (Human Resources), Finance, and Sourcing, then was named the director of global development. Before joining Owens Corning, he was a manager with Honeywell, Inc., in the company’s Minneapolis global resource center.  Prior to Honeywell, Johns was director of information services for Time Warner Cable Communications, Inc., in Dublin, Ohio.  He holds a bachelor of science in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, where he was a scholarship athlete and a MBA from the University of Dayton.
