On 1418 June, 2011, XI international symposium onNew and nontraditional Plant Cultures andProspects of Their Use was hosted by Institute ofFundamental Problems of Biology, RAS.Key words: nontraditional plants, plant introduction, plant breeding, physiology, biochemistry, symposium

Email: [email protected] factors affecting on the expression ofapomixis in cabbage have been identified. Apomicticseeds developed into embryoids were observed inthree cabbage varieties such as Jana, Lazurnaya andLesia (Ukraine). Thus, it was possible to induce anincomplete organogenesis of parthenogenesis seedsoriginated from these four varieties of cabbage. Theoccurrence of apomixis was provoked by the synergitic effect of plant growth regulators and alien pollenapplied simultaneously as an aqueous mixture of gibberellins and cytokinin applied on the base of the pistil, while the alien pollen (Chinese radish Loba) wasplaced on the stigma of castrated cabbage buds 23days before they disclose.Key words: whit e head cabb age, apomi xis, exogenous factors

The specificity of distribution of factor influence portion has been revealeddepending on extract concentration.Key words: allelopathy, seeds, celery, parsley, parsnip, dill, portion of factor influence

It was shown that the positive dependence between increased doses of mineralnoutrition (in the gap from 0 to 120 kg. per hectare)and the growth of generative and vegetative plantorgans. Application of NPK fertilize (120120120)was opti mal to produce the maxim um yiel d of mar

The 50 years from the first human'sflight into the space is being marked this year. On 12April , 1961, for the first time in human's histor y theSoviet citizen Yuri Gagarin was a first man to perform aflight into the space on board of Vostok spaceship.Having flown around the planet he successfully landed. It was a 108 minutes' flight, only one circle which
became the greatest event not only for 20 th century butalso for history of civilization. AllRussian ResearchInstitute of Vegetable Breeding and Seed Productionas some other Research Institutes of RAAS have beennow working out the foodstuffs for cosmonauts sincethe time when Russian Space Exploration Programbegan.
