EAR SURGERY

COMPLEX ENT CARE

Surgical procedures performed at FortMedica are classified as one-day surgery, which means hospita-lization for max. 24 hours. Patients indicated for operation don‘t have any other serious chronic illness that would require operation in another regime. The patients usually stay only 2-6 hours in the recovery room. When needed, hospitalization is provided by our superior contractual clinics: the ENT dept. of the General University Hospital and the ENT dept. of Thomayerova Hospital in Prague. Operations are performed under local or general anaesthesia according to the decision of the indicating doctor or surgeon. We take a sensitive approach to children and, as such, we offer the possibility for the parents to stay with their child in the operating room for the first few minutes and to be with them again after they wake up in the recovery room.
