Using of stepper motor controllers SMSD-4.2RS-232 with HMI panel MT6071iE

SMSD series controllers paired with HMI MT6071iE provide easy and handy control of stepper motors. Using HMI MT6071iE with our pre-loaded software, it is possible to assemble and upload motion algorithm for a stepper motor to the SMSD controller in a quick and easy way. The user friendly GUI presents an opportunity to work in real-time mode (control mode «Direct control»), for repeated procedures in «Program load» mode and for some simple motions «Simple control» mode.

The user friendly GUI provides few control methods:

Simple control — for simple movements by start/stop buttons. Motion parameters are defined by operator.

Direct control — for real-time control of a stepper drive. The commands are executed as soon as they transferred to the controller from the HMI (without saving into inner memory of the controller).

Load program — this control mode is intended for preparing and uploading to the SMSD controller of motion algorithms.

Using of brushless and brush DC motor controllers BLSD and BMSD with HMI panel MT6071iE

HMI-panel can also operate with BLSD brushless motor controller and BMSD DC brush motor controller.

HMI MT6071iE serves as an alternative to computer with RS-485-transducer. One HMI panel is able to control up to 255 BLSD and BMSD controllers. Specially adapted version of BxSD program is used as software.

Stepper motorsThe hybrid stepper motor provides better performance with respect to step resolution, torque and speed.

The main resolution of stepmotors is 200 steps per revolution, it can be increased several times by step dividing (microstepping mode) of a controller or a driver. The operation of stepper motors is easy to control and doesn’t require feedback and expensive complicated devices.

Step motors can be a good choice in applications where it is needed to control rotation angle, speed and position. Because of the inherent advantages stepper motors have found their place in many different applications, such as CNC machines, laser machines and so on.

SM2832

SM4247

SM2832 is one of the smallest hybrid stepper motors. Although its size is small, the output torque is high enough for the range of applications, such as disk drives, fax machines, printing devices, copying machines, appliances. It can be used also in fine mechanics devices, optical devices, instrumentation, sorting automatic machines, automatic feeders, microsized dosing units and many others. The stepper motor SM2832 has low rotor inertia, which result to excellent dynamics and high maximum rotation speed.

SM4247 is a compact hybrid stepper motor. The optimal geometry of toothed area of rotor and stator leads to hight frequency characteristics of step drive. The optimal balance of size and torque make usage of this step motor the best solution for micromanipulators, positioners, semi-automatic machines of multi parameter control, and devices for analysis of oil products.

Brushless motor controllersWe design and manufacture DC brushless motor controllers to operate DC 3-phase motors with Hall sensors. Controllers provide smooth start and stop, adjustable acceleration/deceleration, active braking.

Control inputs/outputs:• Start / Stop• Reset (Hard stop)• Reverse (DIR)

Acceleration/Deceleration:• Internal potentiometer• By commands via RS-485

BMSD

BMD-R

BMD is a speed driver for DC brush motors. Speed, acceleration and deceleration time are adjusted by the internal potentiometers on the frame of the driver. Speed also can be adjusted by an external potentiometer or by an analog proportional signal 0 – 5 VDC. Direction can be changed by external signal (clean contact) «DIR».

Buttons or external signals can be used to start and stop the motor.

Adjustment of a threshold of operation protection 0,2 … 16 A is carried out by a potentiometer of «Current adjust». With its help maximum permissible current for each specific motor controlled by the unit is set. Exceeding of this current during more than 4 sec. will lead to transition to emergency operation mode.

BMD-R controller is fitted with trinket for radio control. It provides speed control, direction, soft start and stop of the motor.

Trinket is an ergonomic portable device with buttons and an encoder as control elements. Buttons set the motion direction and the encoder sets the rotation speed. Trinket stores current value of the rotation speed in the internal memory. Information exchange with the BMD-R unit is target-focused; conversational code is used in the data transfer process for «friend-or-foe» identification. As a result, a specific BMD-R can be controlled only by trinkets registered in the unit.

DC motor controller BMD-R with radio control can be used to control the linear actuator with power up to 250 W.

BMSD is the same controller as BMD, but with RS-485 interface and speed stabilization.

Controller BMSD has an internal digital rates counter. So there is possibility to know current speed, direction and position.

BMSD is equipped with speed stabilization function for DC motors with an encoder. Speed stabilization allows to automatically adjust the speed, making it stable in case of dynamic load.

DC Brush gearmotorsWe sell DC motors with gear heads. Brush DC gearmotors are high quality, cost-effective, easy to use and don’t require any service. DC gearmotors are applied in industrial machinery, robotics, tools, toys, simulators, electro bikes, transporters and other machines.

If there is no need to control position, and only speed control is required DC brush gearmotors with gear heads are almost the most cost-effective solution. In addition to the diversity of sizes and gear ratio DC brush motors provide high safety and high load capacity. DC motors always guarantee optimal ratio of power and dimensions.

Brush DC motors are widely used in measuring devices, electronic packing equipment and so on.

Rated voltage: 24 VDC (except WG5946, which is 12 VDC).

DC motors with encoders are available on request.
