• Our conference strives to provide our youth with the tools and skills necessary to become contributing members of our community and society
• Mission Statement:
“educate and empower our youth to develop individual and community responsibility for self and others by providing leadership, social and cultural awareness”
AAYLC 2014 Conference Goals

• Increase our key sponsor’s participation in the conference
• Increase fundraising each year by 10 %
• Increase the Finance Committee membership
• Provide age/grade appropriate informational materials for student's book bags
• Increase the use of our conference website by the committees and local community
• Staff training

• Design the conference webpage as a year-around tool. Investigate the use of Facebook and other social sites for the conference
• Increase the use of local media coverage of the conference
• Obtain participation/attendance from all Colorado Springs school districts; focusing on one district at a time
• Establish a Volunteer Orientation Class

Taking lessons learned from past conferences and listening to our community inputs, we see the following six areas as focus point for 2014
