In fact, it was interesting to see that we actually had a few more in attendance on Sunday night, than we had on Sunday morning. I don’t know if I have seen that many times before, but none the less it was really encouraging. We are thankful to hear that Maegan will be going home today. She continues to improve quickly from her surgery and is really doing well. She will actually be staying with Mary for a while she continues to recover. Let’s all keep her in our daily prayers as she will be seeing the cancer doctor soon to decide on plans of action. We know that Maegan and the family have a long road ahead of them so let’s encourage them and show them all the love and help we can every day. We love you Maegan! We obviously have a lot of people who need prayer. Brother Leroy had a successful knee surgery yesterday. Also, sister Donna had her last Chemo treatment. There are many more on the prayer list, so let’s keep them daily before God’s throne. Let’s also remember the many who are struggling in Texas because of all the flooding. No doubt many of them are our brethren, but we pray for the wellbeing and safety of all during this time. May they all turn to God for help, peace and comfort during this trying time. Let me take just a moment and encourage our men to consider coming to the Men’s Breakfast this month. It will be on the 9 th of September, and if you have never been before or haven’t been in a while, you will be greatly blessed by attending. I hope you will make plans to join us this month for this great time of fellowship, fun and study. Remember that tonight is a 5 th Wednesday, so we will all be meeting in the auditorium for an extended time of praise, devotion and growth, as we worship our God. I look forward to us all gathering before God’s perfect throne. What a great blessing it always is. I look forward to seeing you all tonight. ELDER’S CORNER:

Greetings from the elders at K.E.

We had many good comments for the

congregation concerning the Sunday P.M. service.

The service was primarily focused on our

members with special needs with prayers and

songs. Brother Ray finished the service with a

filling sermon.

We need to keep our good sister Maegan

Sanders and her family in our every prayer as

she is dealing with very serious health problems.

Maegan has been recovering from her surgery

and is being released today (Wednesday) from

Mercy Rehabilitation. She is going to her

mother, Mary’s house.

Brother Leroy Hathcock had knee surgery

on Tuesday at Mercy Orthopedic on Evans Road.

His surgery went well and should soon be

released.

Monday will be Labor Day. We hope all will

enjoy the day with family and friends.

Continue to pray for all our mission works,

especially the student and instructors at the

BIM.

See you all on Sunday.

Gary & Jerry

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak.

Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”

– Winston Churchill

“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the

righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meditations on the Excellencies of the Word of God
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the LORD!
Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!
They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.
You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently. Oh, that my ways were directed
To keep Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed,
When I look into all Your commandments. I will praise You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments. I will keep Your statutes;
Oh, do not forsake me utterly! Psalms 119: 1-8
