SIMPLE USER INTERFACE

Additional LEDs located on the outside of the hard hat can alert nearby personnel to possible hazardous conditions and a button on the brim can be used to capture an image.

Buttons and LEDs can be customized for a number of events including:

o Evacuation o SOS o Geofence Breach o Elevated Noise Level o High / Low Ambient Temperature o Fall / Acceleration o Proximity Danger

Additional events are available and the open application programming interface of the Kyra software which collects and analyzes the data allows for infinite customization of events and responses.

Buttons and LEDs are located on the underside of the brim for ease of access and visibility. LEDs indicate events along with various audible alerts.

Buttons can be used to place / answer a call for direct communication.

The Guardhat software family works together with physical devices to provide optimal safety and efficiency solutions for Industry 4.0.

While worker safety is the reason for Guardhat’s creation, the applications are far more varied. The data collected by connected devices can help business productivity and even predict problems before they arise.

The Data Center which collects the information from the devices can be located on site or be on a cloud-based server. The open API (Application Programming Interface) allows partners and customers of Guardhat to develop custom software and to create proprietary analyses and response solutions based on specific needs.

Rhea connects Android phones to the SCC, allowing video and audio calls as well as text communication through the wireless network with no need for mobile data service, which is not always available in the field which can be deep underground or sheilded from cellular towers. An iOS app is forthcoming.

K Y R A

Guardhat’s Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform that connects directly to devices to receive sensor data, analyze and detect conditions, and send alerts to workers and safety officers.

SCC (SAFETY CONTROL CENTER)

Web-portal for remote or on-site location with access to real-time data and the ability to respond to alerts and set new boundaries as needed. Staffed by safety officer(s).

R H E A

Mobile app that provides Guardhat communication and data collection services without the need for a wearable device (hardhat). Can also be used in conjunction with a wearable device to provide increased communication options.

DEVICES (WEARABLE / MOBILE)

Collect and send data to Kyra for safety and/or business analysis purposes. Guardhat and third party devices are supported.

SOFTWARE FAMILY Kyra SCC Rhea

Data is collected by connected wearable devices (such as Guardhat HF1 or HC1) and mobile devices powered by Rhea and analyzed by Kyra.

Kyra sends the information to the SCC.

If there are any dangerous conditions requiring alerts, Kyra communicates these to all devices in the affected area.

A safety officer can respond as appropriate - setting new geofence boundaries in real time or initiating communication with nearby workers.

V E R S AT I L I T Y

Many of the Guardhat wearable devices have unique audio-visual communication abilities, which is handled by Kyra along with sensor data. Kyra and SCC can be deployed on-site or on the cloud depending on the customer’s needs. Kyra can also work with third-party devices to provide sensor data and communication to the SCC.

Rhea can be used on a mobile device to augment the features of any Guardhat wearable device, allowing for audiovisual as well as text-based communication. Additionally, Rhea can provide a visual map of geofenced and blackout zones to help workers better navigate their surroundings.

SOFTWARE FAMILY Kyra SCC Rhea

The wearable device detects a rapid drop in altitude.

Kyra interprets this as a fall and alerts the SCC and nearby workers.

A safety officer attempts to contact the affected worker and does not receive a response. He or she then remotely activates a video call from the worker’s device to assess the situation.

When the worker continues to be nonresponsive, the safety officer sends a request for help.

Kyra alerts nearby workers to the request. The fallen worker is easily located due to a map which can also be sent to a mobile device using Rhea.

A worker sends an image or video of a spill to the SCC.

A safety officer uses this information to set a lockout boundary.

Workers inside the boundary are alerted to evacuate. Workers approaching the boundary are alerted to change course. This is done automatically by Kyra once the lockout area is established via the easy to use user-interface.

The combination of Guardhat’s devices and software can be applied in an infinite number of customizable scenarios.
