Molift | Hoists & Slings Overhead Hoisting Problem Solving Workshops Etac R82 are hosting a series of free hoisting workshops throughout the UK in early 2019. If you are involved in the specification or procurement of Overhead Hoists, whether that be in the community, a hospital, school or care setting, the workshops will give you the opportunity to learn and work through a number of practical problems. It will give you information and practical skills to help you find the most effective and efficient hoisting solution. The workshops will focus on: Theory - How to assess for an overhead hoist - What information is critical for a successful survey - Key positioning points for pick up and transfer - Considering the needs of the carer - What is best for the patient/service user. Striking the right balance between comfort, safety, ergonomics and aesthetics Practical - Practical hoisting scenarios including hoisting from the bed, chair, floor - Why assess for the correct sling bar? What difference can it really make? - Mobile hoists v straight track v traverse systems - compare and contrast practical session - How to choose and fit the right sling - Hoisting bariatric clients - Repositioning in bed using a hoist

Overhead Hoisting Problem Solving WorkshopsEtac R82 are hosting a series of free hoisting workshops throughout the UK in early 2019. For many of these he specialised in moving and handling people, providing effective solutions for a wide range of needs.A passionate supporter of effective hoisting solutions, he’s been involved with providing many hoisting solutions to Local Authorities in both domestic and social care setting's as well as education establishments, private and long term care homes and the acute sector.Having a great hoisting system is only beneficial if it is used correctly. Colin is also an IOSH approved trainer in “assisting to move people”.
