College & Career Readiness GoalsOverarching Goal: To strengthen the college- and career- going culture across the four Diplomás independent school districts in San Antonio so that a minimum of 85% of our students are college ready by 2020

Goal 3: Improve student success on Advanced Placement (AP) exams

• Coordinate SAT and ACT prep activities• Increase rigor through professional development on CCRS standards• Increase student success in dual credit

What is required to put this plan into action?1) Provide time for teachers and counselors to work together to support

ownership of college and career ready graduates

2) Provide time for teachers and school leaders to meet together and examine student work

3) Promote a culture of high expectations for school leaders and teachers

4) Provide opportunities for AP teachers to come together to discuss best practices

5) Develop parent presentations in collaboration with postsecondary institutions

6) Focus on a continually expanding environment of college and career awareness

7) Continue to gather, analyze and review the advanced academic report cards/ data scans
