Programmes and Projects
Various programmes, projects and assistances are being
provided to uplift the standard of living of the poor.
As of 8 June 2015, eKasih recorded a total of 371,352
assistances provided to urban poor, with a sum of RM584.57
million.
The programmes, projects and assistances are categorised
into
- Economic and micro-credit financing
- Skills training
- Welfare assistance
- Education assistance
- Schooling assistance
- Housing (including rental)
Programmes and Projects

- Provide a platform to raise income
- 1AZAM programme (24,289 urban households assisted)

- Investment programmes (e.g. ASW, ASB Sejahtera)

• Poverty is a multidimensional
phenomenon that no one indicator can
capture all aspects of poverty
• Under the 11MP, the Government to
complement PLI measurement with the
multidimensional poverty index
