1 SPiDER Report

1.1 Starting SPiDER Report

To start SPiDER Report

Method ① Click the icon on the desktop.

Method ② Click SpiderReport.exe in the folder where SPiDER Report is installed at.

(By default, C:\Program Files(x86)\IGLOO Security\SPiDER Report\)

1.2 Login Login account information is same with the account information of SPiDER TM Console.

1.3 Integration Setup Additional Configuration is required to get an accurate output from SPiDER Report.

See the following instructions for the settings.

1) Click the File menu on the left top.

2) Click Integration Setup on the File menu and the Integration Setup will appear as shown below.

1.3.1.1 Classifying Devices

Set devices to get accurate results. Devices list that is required to be set is as shown below.

1) Click Setup next to Device Classification as shown in [Figure 4]. Device Classification will appear as

shown in [Figure 5].

2) Select the device type on the area A of [Figure 5].

3) Select the device on the area C.

4) Click Apply and the devices on the area B, C will be activated

If a device needs to be removed, uncheck the device first and click Apply. The unchecked device will be

removed for the classification list.

5) Select a device from the Device list as shown in area C and click Apply. The device will disappear from

the list as shown in area B and be removed from the Device list.

※ Device Search is also possible using the functionality of this menu. See the Device Search on the right

bottom, area D of [Figure 5].

- Specify the searching type such as device name, device type and IP address, etc.

1.3.2.1 Resource Threshold Value Settings

The resource information of each device will be displayed in designated colors.

1) When clicking Resource Threshold Settings of [Figure 6], Resource Threshold Settings window as [Figure

7] will appear.

2) The area A of [Figure 7] allows setting level of resource. Users can set the different Threshold value by

level for each resource.

3) The Disk volume label related to the data entered to area B of [Figure 7] is not subject to resource

threshold.

Method ① Enter disk volume label excluded.

Method ② When users click Add, the data entered is displayed in area C of [Figure 7].

Method ③ When users select the disk volume label in the area C of [Figure 7] and click Remove, related

volume label disappears in the area C and is removed.

4) If users click Reset, the data settings will be changed to initial data settings.

Description Details

Threshold by Level

This is the threshold to be applied to each 3 level for resource

If the data has higher than this value, it will be displayed in color related to that

level

Color by Level These are the colors to be applied to each level

Non-applied Disk These are disk volume label to be excluded

※ If users standardize the order by the level of resource, users will not be confused when they read

the report.

1.3.2.1.1 Applying Resource Threshold Settings

Click OK to apply the resource threshold setting.

If click No, resource threshold will not be applied.

1.3.2.2 Setup by Daily Management Log Response Method

Users can change type of the default alert notification if necessary.

Change the initial data such as Mail, Phone, Block, Etc. as shown in [Figure 8], click Apply. The Management

and Control Record report will be printed out to the changed modes.

1.3.3.1 Configuration User’s Group

If you want to setup your private group, you can use this function.

1) Click Setup of User’s Group [Figure 9].

2) More detailed configuration instructions are as shown below.

1) Method ① Enter an user group name, click Add (area A) as [Figure 10].

Method ② Select an user group as shown Area B, [Figure 10] that devices is added to, then Area D area

and the Add / Remove buttons will be activated.

Method ③ Select devices, click Add as shown area D, [Figure 10].

2) To remove registered devices in the user group, select devices on the area D and click Remove.

[Table 5] describes the items to be provided for the user group registration.

Item Description

Enter User Group Enter the user group name.

Device Select devices on the device list as shown in the Area D of [Figure 10].

1.3.4 Setup Attack Name of Attack Type

Users can add, delete attack type, attack name by attack type and description of the attack name on the

Setup Attack Name of Attack Type view.

In [Figure 12], users can add, modify and delete attack name information.

※ In case ORA-12571 error occurs, please modify sqlnet.ora file which has been created during installation

of Oracle Client as below

Modified Before : SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)

Modified After : SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)

Attack type information entered in [Figure 11], [Figure 12] will be print out to the when printing the attack type

report contents of IPS-IDS report contents.

1.3.5 Setup IP Information by Country

In [Figure 13], the users can add country or add or delete the registered IP information from registered

country IP.

[Figure 14] IP Information Management

In [Figure 14], the user can add, correct, and delete the IP information by entering single IP or IP range.

Country IP information and user define IP information entered in [Figure 13] and [Figure 14] will be applied

and printed out when printing the attack type report contents of IPS-IDS report contents.

1.3.6 FTP Setup

Check FTP option to set the FTP information to be used for the file transfer. It is found in the queue work tab

which is on the right top of the SPiDER Report main page.

See the following table what information should be provided.

Content Description

FTP Select file transfer protocol type of FTP and SFTP.

FTP Address FTP Server IP address

FTP Port FTP Server Port number

Upload Path Absolute path of the server to which files will be uploaded.

ID Login Account for the server to be connected.

Password Secret key for the server to be connected.

Identity Key File

Path Identity Key File Path should be set if an identity file is necessary.

1.3.7 SMTP Mail Setup

[SMTP]

SMTP Server : Specify the SMTP Server name or IP address

SMTP Server Port : Specify the SMTP Server Port number.

(Generally, SSL Certificate : port 465, no SSL certificate : port 25)

[User Information]

USER ID : Type the user ID for the SMTP server

USER PW : Type the user’s password which is configured.

(To secure the password, it is encrypted using DES3 algorithm.)

[Mail Address]

Type the user’s E-mail address which is registered in the server.

[Recipient]

Type the recipient E-mail address. If there is more than one person, enter multiple addresses

putting a semicolon (;) between each address.

1.3.8 Show status of Report List To display the report list when the program is started or the report list is refreshed

1) Click Area A of the [Figure 10], Fold and Open menu will appear.

2) Select one of the Fold or Open menu.

3) Click Apply on the configuration window.

1.3.9 Report Preview 1) If users select Apply, reports will be automatically written. When the queue work runs, the report will be

generated. Select the report from list in the queue, report preview will be displayed.

2) If it is not applied, a preview of the report will not be provided.

3) Click Apply on the configuration window.

1.3.10 Send to Taskbar 1) When the report is generated, a report icon appears on the taskbar.

1.3.11 Report auto run 1) The report runs automatically when Windows is started.

1.4 Database Setup User can check and set-up DB information in the SPiDER Report(Click File → DataBase Setup).

1.4.2 Configuring the Local Database & File Database

Table is describing the configuration information to be used to connect to the Local Database.

Manager IP This is assigned IP Address to the Local Manager

ID Local DB Login Account

Password Secret Key for the Local DB Login Account

LM DB (TNS) Login Information in the Oracle Client which is installed

Alias Name to identify each Local Database

1.4.3 Saving & Applying Database Configuration When the configuration is complete, click Apply which is activated, to save the

configuration.

Click Close to complete the configuration.

If users click Close without saving settings, Alarm box will appear. The settings will not be saved if the information is not applied.

1.5 User condition Setup If the users click Condition → User Condition as [Figure 22], the screen will be displayed as [figure 23].

1.5.1 Top N Setup When the report is generated, the selected data ranking from the top to N will be applied to the report.

Specify the numbers in the area A of [Figure 23].

The number “5” is set as default.

Top N information is described in the following [Table 9].

1.5.3 Configuring Report Data a. URL Colum Type : Select the column which column has URL information of web firewall.

b. Print Specific Group Alert : Can generate reports of specific group’s alert(Default : All alert)

c. Print Country Information : Can using the country information for IP in the report.

d. Use old version DB : If you using previous version of SPiDER TM(less than 3.1), have to check this option.

Before the report is generated, the following steps (1-3) should be required.

1) Select a report in the area A of [Figure 24]. (Please refer to 1.6.1 Report Selection)

2) Select a device on the area B of [Figure 24]. (Please refer to 1.6.2 Device Selection)

3) Select report period in the area C of [Figure 24]. (Please refer to 1.6.3 Period Selection)

4) Click Exit in the area D of [Figure 24].

Report, Device and Report Period should be specified and the details are as shown below.

1.6.1 Report Selection

Select a report to be generated

Generation button will be activated when a report is selected.

1.6.2 Device Selection

The report will be generated with the data related to the selected devices.

When a device is selected, will be changed as next to the device name.

[Error and Troubleshooting]

When the users click Report Generation without a device selection, [figure 27] will appear.

Select a device on the Device List and try to click Report Generation again.

1.6.3 Period Selection The period to select is varied depending on the type of report selected.

The report will be made based on the data occurred on selected date or period.

1.6.3.1 Daily Report Period Selection

When the user selects the daily report, the screen displays as [Figure 28].

Default data is one day before current date.

1.6.3.2 Weekly Report Period Selection

Report is generated with the data occurred on selected date.

If the user selects the Weekly Report, the screen displays as [Figure 29].

The date before 7 days before from closing date will be designated as start date.

Default period is from date before 7 days to the date before one day from current date.

If the user selects Monthly Report, the screen displays as [Figure 30].

Generated Period will be selected the first day of the selected month to final date of that month.

Default Period is from first day to final date of current date.

Details of the About SPiDER Report are shown as in the [Table 13].

1.7 Setup Scheduler

[Figure 31] Scheduler

Users can schedule for a report to be generated by periods automatically.

[Table 13] describes the items that should be entered.

Description Details

Scheduler Title This is the file name for the scheduled task.

Generating

Cycle

Daily: Setup the hour, minute, second for a report to be generated. Report will be generated

on the specified time.

Weekly : Setup the day, hour, minute, second for a report to be generated. Report will be

generated on the specified time.

Monthly : Setup the date, hour, minute, second for a report to be generated. Report will be

generated on the specified time.

Designate Specific Time : Setup the year, month, date, hour, minute and second. Report will

be generated only once at the designated time.

Period Setup

Default : Please refer to 1.6.3 Period Selection.

User Time Setup : Users can set the period, excluding the default setup.

Auto Print : When the report is generated, it is printed out to the printer installed on the PC.

FTP: When the report is generated, the report is transferred to the designated FTP server.

Mail : When the report is generated, E-mail is sent to the designated recipient through the

Export Path This specifies where report files to be saved at.

TopN When the report is generated, the selected data ranking from the top to N will be applied to

1.7.1 Generating Cycle Selection Specify how often the report should be generated.

Entering type depends on the report type such as Daily Report, Weekly Report, Monthly Report.

1.7.1.1 Daily

If the daily report generation is desired, hour, minute and second should be specified.

The scheduled report will be stared to generate on the specified time basis.

Default is 00:00:00.

1.7.1.2 Weekly

If the weekly report generation is desired, day, hour, minute and second should be specified.

The scheduled report will be started to generate on the specified time of the day basis.

Default is Monday 00:00:00.

1.7.1.3 Monthly

If the monthly report generation is desired, date, hour, minute and second should be specified.

The scheduled report will be started to generate on the specified time of the date basis.

Default is 1st 00:00:00.

1.7.1.4 Designate Specific Time

Users can specify the particular time such as year, month, hour, minute and second.

The tasks in the queue will be started to generate a report only once at the specified time.

Default is Current Date, 00:00:00.

1.7.2 Generation Period Selection Select the data period for the report to be generated.

The report will be generated on the occurred data during the designated period.

1.7.2.1 User Period Selection

1) Select the start point and the end point directly for the Daily/Weekly report.

2) For the monthly report, select the last date of the desired period as the end point of [Figure 37].

The day after the corresponding day of the previous month will be selected as the start point.

1.7.4 Export File Type SPiDER Report provides various save file formats for the generated report.

File formats are as shown [Table 14].

※ When you open MS Excel file, you may see a message [Figure 39] after export a file. MS version compatible problems cause this error message. Data have not been lost.

※ Pertinent version : This message will be occurred on the MS Office version above 2003 sp3 or MS Office 2007.

1.7.7 Adding and Deleting Schedules Users can make a queue and delete an existing queue based on the configured information.

1) It occurs if the Add Scheduler button is clicked without queue title.

Try to click again after entering the title.

1.7.7.1 Delete

Select a queue in the area G of [Figure 31], click the Delete Scheduler button.

The selected item will disappear from the area G and the selected queue will be deleted.

1.8 Using Profile

The profile manages selected devices and reports in order to get a facile method for report generation.

Profile Title A registered profile name

1.8.1 Add profile / Delete profile When users click Add profile after selecting a report type and a device, a profile is added as shown [Figure

46].

In order to delete a profile, select data from the area C and then click Delete profile. The selected profile data

will be deleted.

1.8.2 Generate report selecting profile In order to generate a report from the Profile, select data from [Figure 46] the area C and then set up

generate period from [Figure 46] the area C. A report is generated when you click Generate Report.

1.9 Report Information (Version) Select Information on the top Menu, the screen will display as [Figure 47].

1.10 Exiting Program

1) Method ① Click 'Exit' in the file menu of the running SPiDER Report.

Method ② Click on the SPiDER Report main view.

3) Click Send to System Tray(area B) of [Figure 49] and an icon will appear on the System Tray as shown

below.
