Someday, I hope to be in a position in which I can help students achieve their dreams in the same way you
have supported me.
As a student who has worked her way through college, I am very appreciative of being a recipient of this award. It has helped me greatly by easing some of my financial burdens and has helped me to pay for
necessities like school supplies, books, and rent.

This award will be tremendously helpful in relieving some of the financial burdens imposed upon my family, as they support me in fulfilling this lifelong
dream of becoming an architect.
Your gracious scholarship will help me greatly in reducing my need for loans, and I could not be more
thankful.
Your generous contribution will allow me to channel more of my efforts and attention into my studies and away from many of the extraneous financial concerns that may distract me from achieving my goals.

Aspiring, architects, planners, and landscape architects assume many challenges throughout their careers,
beginning with the unprecedented rise in educational costs. This year, the average in-state and out-of-state CAPLA students will pay $12,800 and $28,600, respectively, in tuition and fees. With other expenses, this can be a prohibitive fi nancial commitment for many talented students. In recent years, families have experienced diffi cult economic times, and state support for higher education has greatly decreased.
An international studio challenged architecture, planning, and landscape architecture students to travel to Muscat, Oman for more than two weeks and aid in urban revitalization efforts. The interdisciplinary studio offered valuable hands on experience, while helping the students appreciate cultural differences and collaboration. Their work resulted in a master plan presented to Muscat leaders.
