David Clayton October 11, 2013David Clayton is an artist, teacher, published writer, and broadcaster who holds a permanent post as Artist-in-Residence and Lecturer in Liberal Arts at the Thomas More College. The Way of Beauty program, which he founded, focuses on the link between Catholic culture and the liturgy, with a special emphasis on art.

Timothy O’Malley, Ph.D. November 8, 2013Timothy O’Malley is the director of the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy. He will speak on liturgy and the new evangelization. He has been published in a broad range of journals, including Studia Liturgica, Liturgical Ministry, and Ligourian magazine and is a popular presenter at national conferences.

Peter Kreeft, Ph.D. December 6, 2013Peter Kreeft is a professor of philosophy at Boston College and at the King’s College in New York City. He is the author of over 70 books and a regular contributor to several Christian publications. Dr. Kreeft is in wide demand as a speaker at conferences and St. Paul is pleased to welcome him back to discuss how the new evangelization can be brought into the public arena or the “Courtyard of the Gentiles.”

Christopher de Vinck, Ph.D. January 10, 2014Christopher de Vinck is a husband, father, accomplished author, and may be best known for his book, The Power of the Powerless. Dr. de Vinck vividly conveys the enormous impact his incapacitated brother had on him and his family during his 32 years of life, and his essays have been widely published by many of the country’s best national newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Reader’s Digest, and The American Scholar. Christopher de Vinck will speak about his brother and how being a Catholic has impacted his life.

Ivannia Vega-McTighe, Ph.D. Candidate February 21, 2014Ivannia Vega-McTighe, Associate Academic Dean of Evangelization, believes that sacred art can communicate the Gospel to its viewers and contribute greatly to evangelization. She has 15 years of experience in the fields of youth ministry, Hispanic ministry, catechesis, and Pre-Cana. She is currently a doctoral candidate in art history at Rutgers University and has been published in an exhibit catalogue at the Museum of Biblical Art. Her presentation is titled: The Art of Forgiveness.

Br. Mickey McGrath March 7, 2014Brother Mickey McGrath is an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales. He is an artist and author of ten books, several of which have received awards from the Catholic Press Association. He is also a popular presenter at conferences, parishes, and retreat centers throughout the United States and Canada, speaking on the many deep and fun connections between art and religious faith. Since 1987, he has been a summer faculty member of the Grunewald Guild in Leavenworth, Washington where he has been officially designated a “Guild Master.” Br. McGrath will discuss his art and the connection between art and faith.
