• Oil slick sighted 10-15 miles west of Guimaras Island
threatening Negros Island (Silay City, Bacolod City, Bago
City)
• M/T Solar 1 submerged appox 300-500 fathoms below sea
water.
• 11 Barangays of Guimaras affected by oil spill
• OSRT enroute to the site aboard SARV 002, private
response vessels, 3501 on site
• Negros island is affected as of today
• Much of the 2 M liters of oil remaining on the tanks is an
environmental time bomb, worst situation is yet to come
