London Development Project – ISG Major Projects
CATAElectrical.
GWE in continuing our strong working relationship with ISG have been awarded the new London Development Project office fit out.
The London Development project consists of eight principal office floors above ground level and a deep basement containing the central MEPH plant. Grant Walker Engineering where appointed by ISG to complete the electrical works associated with the high quality fit out of levels 1 to 7. Our scope includes fully design responsibility and producing a fully coordinated mechanical and electrical 3D Revit model with GWE taking the role of lead coordinator between the M&E trades. With the design in place, GWE are now carrying out the full supply and install of the electrical installation, including the following: High and low level containment systems for Electrical, Data, AV and Fire & Security, high and low level Modular wiring system feeding lighting and small power, low level busbar and desk power
system, power distribution system, consisting of over 35 distribution boards per floor and an advanced Dali two lighting control system. The programme constraints of this project are very demanding with all works including pre-construction being complete in 50 weeks with an end date of May 2018.
London School of Economics – Dornan Engineering
Electricalinstallation
The London School of Economics is a 15,500 sq M 13 story & 6 story interlinked development being undertaken by MACE. GWE have been appointed in conjunction with Dornan Engineering to complete the Electrical installation of the project. Our scope includes the following: High and low-level containment systems for Electrical, Data, AV and Fire & Security, high and low-level wiring system feeding lighting and small power, low level busbar and floor box system, power distribution system, consisting of over 40 distribution boards with in the two buildings and an advanced Dali two lighting control system. The programme constraints of this project are very demanding with all works on site being complete with in 45 weeks.

Witley Gardens – Inland Homes
Mechanical,ElectricalandDatainfrastructure
Witley Gardens is a Re-development of former PC Harrington commercial site to provide 56 residential units over 2 blocks with commercial space at ground floor level.
GWE have been contracted to provide a full mechanical and electrical installation from the primary services right through to the apartment fit out. Our scope includes the supply and install of the following services: Electrical, Mechanical, Public health, Security & access control, Fire alarm and a full Data & AV specialist system.
The project is set for completion in September 2018.
Bracknell regeneration – Dornan Engineering
Electricalinstallation.
Bracknell regeneration development being undertaken by MACE. GWE have been appointed in conjunction with Dornan Engineering to complete the Electrical installation of the project. Our scope includes the following: High and low-level containment systems for Electrical, lighting and small power, power distribution boards within various blocks of the construction. The programme constraints of this project are very demanding with all works on site we delivered on time and in a professional manner.
Heathrow Approach CAT A Refurbishment – ISG InteriorsGWE were contracted to completed the Electrical, Data, AV and Specialist External Lighting on the prestigious project on the M4 Corridor. Starting in September 2015 this project, made up of 5 floors, basement area and external car park and walkways were completed in a challenging contract period of 30 weeks.

BP Building A Lighting and BP Building F refurbishment works – Johnsons ControlsGWE, in partnership with ECO of London, were awarded the building A lighting upgrade works at the BP Sun bury site. Works on this project where carried out in a live office space out of hours. Works consisted of installing a VE option Modular system put forward by GWE to Maleon, and Simmtronic lighting control system.
On completion GWE, again in partnership with ECO of London were invited back to carry out the upgrade and refurbishment works in the north section of Building F on the same site. Works here included the identification, isolation and strip out of all power and lighting and the installation of a Modular power and lighting system. Works on this building were carried out on a tight nine week programme.
Lillie Square Apartment Fit Out – Sir Robert McAlpineGWE completed this prestigious residential project in London’s Earl’s Court. This project consists of 219 High End apartment fit outs, along 4 different simultaneous blocks, which incorporate a state of the art Lutron system, alongside networked apartments including Integrated Reception System. This was handed over in July 2017. GWE are currently negotiating the second phase for 2019.
Twenty Old Bailey – ISG ConstructionGWE were engaged by ISG Construction on the early stages of design on this project once it had been decided that ISG were going to procure the packages directly on this 1980’s era building which is undergoing a comprehensive modernisation and upgrade programme. GWE along with our dedicated design team have designed the complete electrical system from initial to construction stage. The works include the installation of over 6,000 light fittings complete with a dedicated lighting control system, specialist lighting system in the reception area, generator system with riser distribution will provide all the primary power distribution. The lighting and small power system will be a complete modular system in both the Cat A and the landlord areas.
Project Memphis – ISG InteriorsGWE, continuing their key relationship with ISG Interiors, have completed the Electrical Installation in the prestigious location in Canary Wharf. GWE were commissioned at tender stage initially where we provided a high-level budget for the two stage tender process on the project. Once ISG were appointed GWE, in line with the completion of the design, were awarded the Electrical Contract for the works. Our package included the supply and installation of all aspects of the Electrical package from containment to lighting installation and all modular and light control systems in between. Expected completion for this project is the end of 2017.
Abbey Wharf – Inland HomesGWE have been awarded the Design & Build Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health project for the Abbey Wharf development in Wembley for Inland Homes.
Abbey Wharf is a residential site which will provide 136 new apartments over 2 blocks based near Wembley. Expected completion of the project is Spring 2020.

Century Link, Reading, Mechanical and Electrical HV upgrade works – Mercury Engineering GWE have completed this HV. upgrade. The project involved working in a live data centre and live HV. switch rooms. A new HV switch room has been installed and the existing HV. services are currently being migrated from the old system. This process demands a high level of planning and care.

Dixon House – ISG Fit Out

Grant Walker Engineering are pleased to be delivering the Mechanical and Electrical Services fit out of the newly completed Dixon House.
Working in partnership with ISG’s Fit out division, GWE carrying out the CAT B works delivering two floors of high end office for the building owners.
Services include the installation of new Air conditioning and ventilation systems, full infrastructure installation complete with IT room, Access control, Fire, Security and CCTV systems along with a bespoke lighting installation.
Old Admiralty Building – Willmott Dixon interiors
DatainfrastructureandAVinstallation.
GWE are pleased to be working in Partnership with WDI on the joint Structured Cabling and AV packages at the Old Admiralty Building, the building is Grade II listed and sits within the Whitehall Complex London.
This is another service that GWE deliver alongside our Electrical and Mechanical installations, thus giving a turnkey solution to successfully deliver customers’ requirements.
The project involves the refurbishment and fitting out of Old Admiralty Building to serve as offices for the Department for Education (DfE). Parts of the building will also be occupied by the Legalization Office and the Government Art Collection.
The structured cabling installation will comprise of in the region of 5000 Excel Cat 6 UTP solution with OM4 multi-mode fibre and Voice backbone cabling. The fibre backbone cabling will be terminated in the core equipment cabinets accommodated in the Main Communications Room. A Main Communications Room (MCR) will be provided and various Patch Rooms will be provided on the other floor’s. The AV systems will comprise of sound distribution systems, audio and video source equipment, high definition (HD) visual display screens, projectors, cabling infrastructure and control systems.
An Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) distribution system will be required to deliver television signals over the building-wide structured cabling and a dedicated local area network (LAN) infrastructure. The IPTV distribution system will comprise a terrestrial television aerial, head-end equipment, gateway blades, decoders and associated cabling. High quality sound distribution will be required to cover sound from transmitted or recorded material.

Grant Walker Enginnering are successfully delivering the Data and Fibre Installations fit out within the Grade 1 listed Heritage building.
Grant Walker have been appointed to deliver the full infrastructure solution involving 3000 Cat6A FTTP outlets along with multiple diverse fibre, intercab links and copper backbone spanning over 5 floors.
Ministry of Defence – Framework AgreementsGrant Walker Engineering have/are successfully delivering the upgrade and maintenance of Military camps across the UK. Bringing the latest Data Infrastructure and Electrical installation works to the latest JSP604 compliant standards.
Works include multiple Surveys and Upgrades to DCCT Military Training Systems across 45 sites involving the complete upgrade and remedial works required.
GWE have also been commissioned as a turnkey solution to have completed both the Data and Electrical elements of 50 classrooms locations based in the UK for the Bowman Classroom upgrade project. This entails stand alone and independent Electrical and Data/Fibre systems for Military classrooms.
We are currently working closely with the MOD on various Cabinet upgrades and Testing to the latest standards under the New Style of IT, Global Connectivity and Whole site testing projects covering over 1000 Military cabinets UK Wide.

Due to the continued growth of the business within the construction industry and also the value that our key clients hold of the ISO Certification, GWE actively pursued the quality standard in 2017. We have implemented the Quality Management System throughout the business.

GASSafeContinuing our commitment to safeguarding all of our installations GWE are accredited on the Gas Safe register, the official list of Gas Businesses and installers. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register to work safely and legally on gas appliances.
NICEICApprovedTo establish our commitment to guaranteeing that our engineers provide a safe electrical installations service, Grant Walker Engineering are approved by The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installations (NICEIC).
Being a member of this scheme ensures that we meet our legal duty to be technically competent and meet national electrical safety standards. Enrolment with NICEIC is voluntary, but we believe it’s essential for our engineers to be approved by this body as safety is paramount.

Waste Management Grant Walker Engineering are committed to responsible waste management. We will strive to minimise the effects of our business and our projects upon the environment and will encourage our customers, suppliers and sub-contractors to do the same.
Specialist Sub-Contractors Grant Walker Engineering maintains a network of approved specialist
sub-contractors.
We assess all contractors prior to undertaking any work via our pre qualification documents to ensure their values and policies are in line
with GWE. This is maintained assesses on-going.
All contractors we employ have proven track records with us and are aware of the high standards of health, safety and workmanship that we
work to.
Quality Assurance Grant Walker Engineering undertake a regime of self-snagging
where we aim to minimise the snagging that is required at the end of the works.
As we progress through the project we will continually review the work and rectify shortfalls as necessary.
