The training course “Outdoor empowers You(th)!” will gather 30 young people from 11 European countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic,

Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and Turkey). Realization of the project is from 29th August to 6th September 2014 in

Lechovice, Czech Republic. Main themes for the project are: youth (un)employment, youth empowerment, youth entrepreneurship and youth

mobility.

Organizer of the training course

Active European Youth Brno (AEYB) is informal group of young people in age of 19 to 25 years, coming from city of Brno located in South-

moravian region of Czech Republic. We are young people, students gathered from different cities and locations of Czech Republic and also

Slovakia, where all of us have bountiful experiences with voluntary work. Some of us have been involved in voluntary work since the young age

when were devoting children, all of us nowadays are involved in youth work, mainly through work within student networks. The priority of the

group is to develop and spread experiences in the youth work and inform and involve more young people to be active in this field of youth

work and offer them these opportunities.

Aims and objectives of the training course are:

To encourage active citizenship and develop sense of entrepreneurship

To provide necessary information about the micro economical youth opportunities (micro-credits)

To explore the possibilities of the Youth in Action program as a tool for youth employment, mobility and entrepreneurship

To identify the competencies that can be obtained through European non-formal learning projects and their certification by Youthpass

To analyze the role and reception of NFE in different countries within a common Europe

To gather and develop resources and strategies to promote the communication and linguistic competences

To promote the value of cultural diversity and mutual understanding among various cultures

To raise self-awareness of young people´s personal identity and introduce the idea of individual differences and equality of

opportunities.

Working methods

Our training course will be based on non-formal learning process. It means that learning is based on your experience, your motivation and your

needs. During the training course non-formal education methods and methods, and methods that assure balance between theory and practice

will be used such as: workshops, presentations, outdoor education, co-operative games, individual work, small discussion groups, plenary

work, group dynamics, personal challenges, theoretical input.

Arrival: 29th of August

Activities start: 30th of August

Activities end: 5th of September

Departure: 6st of September

Project will be realized in village of Lechovice in South-Moravian region in the green calm area, famous by its wines and beautiful nature. We

will be accommodated in the Hotel Weiss http://www.hotelweiss.cz/en.

The health insurance is not provided and will not be reimbursed by the organizers. All participants are strongly advised to purchase travel

insurance.

We will reimburse 70% of participant´s travel costs from your home town to the project venue – Lechovice, Czech Republic.

Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon presentation of all (including return) original tickets, receipts/invoices and boarding

passes and later sending of the return documents and boarding passes. You must use public transport (bus, metro, tram) – taxi will not be

reimbursed!

Please keep the boarding passes from your airport check-in as well. Reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated

on your ticket and receipt/invoice.

You must come from the country that you applied for our project. (For example, if you participate from Germany, you must come from

Germany).

! Note: Please make the copies (better scan or take photographs) of your tickets and invoices before you will come to the training. E-mail those

to us ([email protected]) as soon as you buy them. If you have tickets and invoice, make sure that you e-mailed copies of both.

Please see attached file “How to reach Lechovice”, where you will find complete information about travel to the project venue.

In August weather in Lechovice area is usually warm, it can be said quite hot, with summer temperatures around 30 °C in average. But as

weather can be nice, it can be as unforeseenable, so be prepared also for unfavourable, colder and rainy weather.

between 18 – 30 years old

There is home task for each participant:

1. Please learn some fact about youth (un)employment situation in your region/country and think about the reasons of this situation as

well as about possible solutions how this problem could be solved.

Intercultural night

There will be intercultural night, where every country will present its culture. Do not forget to bring some traditional music, food, drinks and

other stuff representing your country and culture in some way.

NGO Fair

There will be also NGO Fair organized one night. We would like to kindly ask you for preparing short and brief presentation about your

organization, work sphere, field of activities and mainly your relation to work with youth with fewer opportunities and young people dealing

with unemployment problems.

Sleeping bag (for outdoor activity)

Small torch (flashlight)

Warm clothes & solid shoes necessary for outdoor activity (we will hike in the wood, there could be colder or rainy outside)

Mosquito spray

Swimming suits, towels (we will have free time for swimming)

Small backpack (for outdoor activity)

Every participant is individually entitled to receive a Youthpass Certificate, which confirms participation and validates the non-formal learning

(NFL) experience of Training course project. Validating the learning experiences of participants is important in itself and the document can be

of benefit in terms of the educational or employment future of the participant. Through Youthpass the European Commission ensures the

Training course activity is recognized as a non-formal learning experience. For more information on Youthpass you may wish to visit
