Grade assessment reports are consolidated statements of the final examination results of individual
courses. These reports provide valuable information on the grade distribution of each course and the
grade percentage of consecutive semesters of academic year 2015-2 to 2017-1. Grade “C” (70%) is the
minimum overall grade required for a student to graduate a program.

TABLE-1.1.STUDENTS PERFORMANCE IN ALL COURSES OF BS-PROGRAMS
The following tables and charts show outcomes achieved during Semester 152,161,162 and 171. The
values are the average percentages of outcomes achieved in 5 program skill sets in all offered courses,
during a particular semester, contributingto a program (See Annexure 2a for list of individual courses
and outcomes of program).

In the above tables, values under CS,PS,AS, IS and ES indicate the percentage of that specific skills
achieved by the students based on the marks scored by them in all the assessment components
(quizzes, assignments, projects, labs, midterm and final examinations) pertaining to the semester.
These values are generated by the program specifically designed for the purpose and the values are
computed for each course as well as for each program. The above values are generated for each
program to assess the percentage achievement of Program Learning Outcomes.

For example, looking at figure 1.4, it can be seen that BS-HRM specialization is low on ethical skills and IT
skills, while BS-MIS program shows high achievement of all the skill outcomes. Comparing with previous
figures we can see the consistency or lack of it in achieving the skill sets.
We wish to point out that this system is under constant monitoring and continuous improvement and
we are contemplating a more standardized assessment pattern to add more reliability and consistency
to the measurement of outcomes.

74 percent of Students of business programs across both campuses rated their level of satisfaction as
3,4,5 on the Likertscale of 5 where 1 indicates the lowest and 5 the highest level of satisfaction. There
were no significant difference in rating pattern in terms of programs and gender.Even though all
classrooms are equipped with high tech teaching equipment yet students express their dissatisfaction.
It may be pointing to the need to use of these facilities in a more interactive fashion. Some of the issues
may get resolved automatically when the campus moves to the new location in the next 6 months.

This survey is administered randomly on selected final semester students of YUC with 95% of
respondents belonging to Bachelor degree program.
Students are a bit unhappy with the facilities and the choice of specializations.
YUCM is moving to the newly built campus in the next 6 months which will to a large extent resolve the
issues with physical facilities.
Industrial exposure is a major concern. This is partly due to the reluctance of industries to
accommodate students for internships and lack of enthusiasm by the industry personnel to visit the
college to share their experiences.
We are working hard to introduce new tracks and programs in line with the changing environment in the
country. We have even signed up with an agency to research and suggest new programs taking in to
consideration, the needs of stakeholders.
OA-Report 2015-Sy2-2017-Sy1

As can be seen here also, the industrial exposure is a major concern.
The facilities can be improved once the college moves to the new campus.

More than 20organizations contributed in the feedback. There was overall high satisfaction on various attributes exhibited by the students while on training.
The grey areas are lack of initiative, interpersonal relations, and performance under pressure, problem solving, attendance and punctuality.
Though enthusiasm and right attitude of work are present, there are some areas that require more immediate attention by counselors and student advisors. They are: independent ability to work, reporting of work done or presentation skills, lateral thinking, judgment, quality of work and interest to learn new things.
The lowest level of satisfaction is for the problem solving, application of the theory and technical knowledge to tackle job problems and writing (presentation and reporting) skills of the trainee students.
