Commodore’s Report: Larry Olsen
Ahoy TOA, August was so very hot and smoky that I hope you all listened to
the health warnings. I sure hope that the Washington and Cana-
dian fires are under control by September.
The Carling Yacht Club ball will be held on September 15, at the Des Moines
Yacht Club. Starting at 6:00pm, price is $80 per couple and dress grays for offi-
cers. See flyer in this Outboarder.
Viking Yacht Club is celebrating their Commodore on October 6th at 6:00pm. It
will be held in Tacoma at the Son’s of Norway Hall. See the flyer in this Out-
boarder. This will be a fun dinner and dance because of the small change they
have made. It is a gangster themed party! So gather up you’se wise guys, and
you’se faverate moll and enjoy a night of fun, food and dancing. Of course
you’se should wear you’se best zute suit. Back to reality, Officers may wear
dress grays if they really need to. Price is $40 per person.
I want to thank everyone who helped with or attended my Commodore’s cruise,
it was fantastic, and I’m still alive! Thank you to a wonderful TOA group.

Hello TOA
We have had some awesome weather this summer hope everyone got out to
enjoy some of it. We have had several cruises and all had a great time.
We had the day cruise to Cutts Island hosted by Dave Antonson and his com-
mittee. There were 4 boats in attendance, and fun was had by all.
Then we had the kids cruise at Alder Lake and we had so many campers and people that came
out just for the day the kids had a really great time and food was awesome thank you Amanda
Jordan for running this cruise great job. I would also like to thank Dave and Donna Hoover for
their jet skis and helping cook. Also Dave and Roberta Dolhar for help with cooking and orga-
nizing games.
Then came the Commodores cruise to long branch and we had 10 boats and about 50 people
show for the dinner and roast at noon on Saturday. Our Commodore survived the roast that
our past Commodores put him thru thank you Dave Hoover for that and for helping on the
whole cruise to make it a great weekend also Dave and Roberta Dolhar for helping put this
cruise on without you two I would have been lost, thanks again for all your help.
Thank you TOA members and all your quests that came out to support the club at these
cruises as you all know we are out to just have fun and enjoy everyone’s company. We still
have some cruises coming up so try to get out to one and enjoy with all your friends
Thanks and hope to see you at a cruise or meeting

Rear Commodore’s Report: Dave Dolhar
Hello fellow boaters and RV’ers
Not much to report from the Rear Commodore this month.
Its been a pleasure watching our club progress this year. Everyone has put an effort into the club making TOA successful and I just want to say “thank you”. Any new suggestions will be welcome for our winter activities. Yes we have our traditional events but, the thrill of experi-encing new events also tends to keep our club interesting and drawing the members out.
Now we have approximately 40 members, so just think if everyone of you help present a different event, what a exciting fun filled year we would have!!! Remember the more fun we have the more new members we will attract. See ya at Bass Pro for our Sept meeting.

TOA friends,
Thank you to all that joined us for TOA’s Night at the Rainiers. The weather was beau-
tiful, the hot dogs were, well, hot dogs and the Rainier’s won the game! It was a great
time.
The kids Halloween party is slated for Sunday, October 28th. Amanda Jordan graciously
stepped up to chair this event. Look for her flyer in this month’s Outboarder.
Our next social event will be held in November – tentatively set for Saturday, Novem-

staying at Dock Street Marina for those who wish to come by boat. Watch next
month’s Outboarder for details.
