Hello and welcome to the new Spring programme. As you are all aware in the past quarter we have been very uncertain about the future of the Evening and

Weekend service due to coming to the end of our contract. However we are very pleased to announce that Uniting Friends have received the funding from LBR to continue to provide you with this service for another year, with some changes.

During the previous quarter a few of our evening and weekend members had the opportunity to work alongside the Spare Tyre theatre group for a drama workshop. During the final week a performance was enjoyed by members, staff, parents and carers at our Stratford base. Again we have the privilege of working with Spare Tyre to bring you another ten week course which will start on 17th April. If you are interested in this opportunity you must be available to attend each week. Be aware that spaces are limited so please register your interest now to request a space.

We have recently held a network group meeting. The response to this meeting was quite overwhelming and you were able to find out a lot more about this service and the support that will be provided should you decide to join a network group. We have since been organising the groups which will be starting in line with the new programme. Your support has been allocated and you will be contacted by them soon to arrange you first network group meeting.

I am aware that we normally advertise the learning disabilities week within this programme, however we have not had dates or times finalised as yet so we will contact you in the near future to provide you with further information on these events. As usual your interest in these activities will need to be booked in advance to ensure that we are able to provide staffing.

As usual you have all had some wonderful ideas at the previous members meeting, so without delay take a look inside your new programme.
