Join us on October 12, 2019, as we come

together during Domestic Violence Awareness

Month to raise funds and to celebrate the

survivors’ courage and strength.

Domestic violence is not a singular incident, it’s

an insidious problem deeply rooted in our culture.

“Over the Rainbow” is an opportunity for you

to come alongside the Freedom and Fashion

survivors who are raising above their abuse and

creating a new story for themselves. From creative

direction to execution, this event is 100% inspired

by our students. Open to the public, this unique

and powerful experience gives the community an

opportunity to show their support by investing in

the programs that follow.

Here you’ll enjoy special performances, story

telling, fashion, food, and the opportunity to

creatively interact with our survivors.

Many of us can recall a time in our lives when we

felt hopeless and it was the support of our

community that carried us through. On October

12, we will come together to support domestic

violence survivors and affirm their worth.

1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men

experience severe intimate partner physical

violence, intimate partner contact sexual

violence, and/or intimate partner stalking

with impacts such as injury, fearfulness,

post-traumatic stress disorder, use of victim

services, contraction of sexually transmitted

diseases, etc.1

With statistics like these, it is likely that you or a

loved one has been directly impacted by a form

of domestic violence.
