INTRODUCTION

Against the economic conditions in 2014 and 2015, which saw modest cyclical economic improvements, WongPartnership has done very well We have acted in several mega deals across industries, including innovative transactions that involved the establishment of new legal structures as well as the development of strategies and techniques to overcome regulatory hurdles In terms of market impact, some deals served as precedents for future transactions In the new international arbitration matters that arose in the past year, it was notable that half of the matters concerned disputes which have no elements relating to Singapore other than the fact that Singapore is the seat These are disputes governed by a law other than Singapore, concerned entities other than Singapore companies and the subject matter of the underlying dispute did not involve Singapore in any aspect
