The Outdoor Community Centre will eliminate an eye-sore that has hurt Narberth for years. Itwill preclude admission of undesirable features in the Borough limits. It will provide a modern athleticfield. It will co-ordinate a comprehensive school plan. It will furnish facilities for the small children. Itassures a place for festive occasions. It can be utilized as a safe mecca for skating and other wintersports. It will stabilize all property values. It will save the community thousands of dollars iii itsfuture development. It has been demonstrated that even if taxes have to be raised

on account of this small bond issue, the increase cannot amount

to more than 95 cents on each thousand dollars of assessments.

There is as much reason to believe taxes will NOT be raised at all

as to surmise that they will be raised. VOTE YES!

It has been declared by those competent to judge such thingsthat every property in the Borough will be worth more with the

Outdoor Community Centre than without it. VOTE YESI

In this square=mile town of ours, conservative estimates of

realty values approximate Twelve Million Dollars. To increase

that total by only one per cent. would make a gain of $120,000,

four times the amount of the Bond Issue. Our own self=preserva=

tion impels a vote of YES.

It has not been disputed that the community must buy some

land some place for a further development of the schools. What

shall we do-buy improved property at the rate of $25,000 or

$30,000 for a single acre, or secure 7 acres for $22,500? Com=mon sense again impels a vote of YESI

You came to the suburbs because, among other things, you

believed in open spaces. What do you prefer, the railroad plot

huddled up with houses, commercial garages, or worse, or do you

not agree that we would all be better off if this last large plot left

in Narberth were made a community centre and provided with

facilities which would be for the benefit of all of us, young and

old? VOTE YESI

What is your answer to the question as to how we can bestconserve the morals and wholesome progress of the boys andgirls of the community ? Shall we let them go on their own bent,or shall we provide a place where they can enjoy all the advan:;

tages American children ought to have and which no enlightenedpeople should deny them? VOTE YESI

Should we have a public place for gala occasions, for Fourthof July celebrations, for instance, for outdoor affairs of all kindsunder community auspices, or should we just dismiss all thesethings and live our lives without them? Does man live on bread

alone? VOTE YESI

It is said that Americanism is best described as that spiritwhich makes the place you live in better because you live there.Do we or do we not subscribe to this when we vote YES for theOutdoor Community Centre? VOTE YES!

Also as an American you are a devotee of the great American

sports. Are you or are you not comfortable in the reflection thatyou are now living in a place which has absolutely no conveni=

ences for organized outdoor exercises, that our boys and youngmen have to go outside of their own Home Town when they desireto engage in such contests? Is it or is it not your wish that thissorry situation shall be continued? VOTE YESI

Are we or are we not entitled to claim our share for the pro=

gress of the race,. for the advancement of our community, if wefail to co=operate in all good things, if we neglect to exercise ourprivilege of suffrage, to approve with our ballot the proposalswhich are submitted for the welfare of the people at large?
