I love this children’s book because back when I was a child and read it for the first time, it allowed me to be transported to a world so different from my own and look at little Mary Lennox learning about herself and growing. The descriptions of the moor are stunning, the friendships are heart-warming, and the character building is fascinating to young and old alike. I recently picked up the book again and remembered why it was one of my favourites growing up.
