Our school is in the centre of the city Liberec.

SomeThing from History

• This school is 53 years old.

• The first opening was 1st September 1959.

• The maximum of students was in the school in the academic year 1961/62, and there were 843 pupils in 24 classes.

• It is more than 35 childern in one class.

• Poor teachers!

• Now there are around 250 pupils.

• It is for children 3 – 6 years old

Teachers

• In our school are 18 teachers.

• They try to teach us lot of interesting things, which is sometimes really impossible.

• Some techers are class teachers.

• Mrs. Marková is our teacher of English, because of her we are in project Comenius.

• We also have a partner school in Augsburg.

• We also sometimes do the eTwinning projects

Hobbies – afterschool clubs

• In our school it is possible to visit lessons not only to learn, but also to do some hobbies, for example:

Gymnastics

• We can take extra lessons of some subjects in the afternoon too.

• We also play matches with other schools.

• And of course, we have our international Comenius club

School activity

• We visit galleries, museums and performance in theatres.

• In winter we go to the mountains where we can ski and sledge.

• In summer we make trips to the nature.

Holidays

• 3 days in October: Autumn holiday: The first holiday of school year. Winter is coming

• Cca 2 weeks in December: Christmas holidays: They are the best. We celebrate Christmas Eve and the New Year.

• One week in March: Spring holiday: It is often cold and it snows, but sometimes it is spring weather.

• 5 days in March or April: Easter holiday: These holidays are when the spring is beginning and we celebrate Easter.

• 2 months – July, August: Summer holidays: They are the longest and everybody loves them, also the techers. We go on holidays abroad. We return and the new school year begins in September.
