When patients come into the dental office to discuss a dental implant, their first concern is what will their smile look like. Not only does the Gingival Cuff Links System eliminate the patient's concerns about
esthetics, but it also assists the practitioner with papilla and bone graft retention. Gingival Cuff Links reduces the need for repeat surgical interventions and exposure to infections, time well saved in the practitioner's schedule to treat more patients. The Gingival Cuff Links provisional healing cuff arrives pre-contoured in 11 shapes to fit any tooth in the mouth and consists of materials used daily in dental practices. A completely alterable chairside solution, the Gingival Cuff Links System is easy to use, affordable and compatible with most major implant systems.
THE GINGIVAL CUFF LINKS SYSTEM IS MANUFACTURED IN THE USA BY GCL SYSTEMS, INC. VISIT GCLSYSTEMS.COM OR CALL TOLL FREE 833-425-4346 FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Thomas B. Hinman Dental Society. He was the recipient of the 2008 Gordon
Christensen Lecturer Recognition award presented by the Chicago Dental
Society and the recipient of the 2012 Award of Distinction presented by the
Academy of Dentistry International for his efforts in Continuing Dental
Education. He has been a consultant for the United States Drug Enforcement
Administration and other law enforcement agencies since 1974. Drawing on
this unique background, Dr. Crossley has become nationally and
internationally recognized as an expert on street drugs and chemical
dependency as well as the clinical pharmacology of dental drugs.
Course Description What questions should I be asking my patients to avoid drug interactions with
street drugs? What is the impact on my practice of the recent resolutions,
approved by the American Dental Association, for providing dental care for
patients who are and/or have been chemically dependent? What are some of
the oral manifestations of street drug abuse? How will I know if a person is
under the influence of street drugs? What are the characteristics of and how
do I manage the “doctor shopper”? Do I have to take any precautions with
the dental patient who is under the influence? Why is it so important that the
dental staff be knowledgeable about street drugs? Why am I at risk? What are
some characteristics of adolescent substance abuse and what do I do about
it?
The dental team is in a unique position providing dental care to a patient pop-
ulation that may be regular users or experimenting with mood altering drugs.
This dynamic, brutally honest, and graphic presentation will take you from the
streets and into the office to help you identify and manage the substance
abusing patient. Discussion includes the origins, types, mechanisms of action,
and signs and symptoms of commonly abused prescription and illicit drugs.
