Call to Worship Jesus, I Come
Out of my bondage, sorrow and night,
Jesus, I come; Jesus I come.
Into Thy freedom, gladness and light,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of my sickness into Thy health,
Out of my wanting and into Thy wealth,
Out of my sin and into Thyself,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of my shameful failure and loss,
Jesus, I come; Jesus, I come.
Into the glorious gain of Thy cross,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of earths sorrows into Thy balm,
Out of lifes storms and into Thy calm,
Out of distress into jubilant psalm,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come; Jesus, I come.
Into Thy blessed will to abide,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of myself to dwell in Thy love,
Out of despair into raptures above,
Upward forever on wings like a dove,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of the fear and dread of the tomb,
Jesus, I come; Jesus, I come.
Into the joy and light of Thy home,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of the depths of ruin untold,
Into the peace of Thy sheltering fold,
Ever Thy glorious face to behold,
Jesus, I come to Thee. PD
Announcements
Processional O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
O for a thousand tongues to sing
my dear Redeemer's praise,
the glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of his grace.
My gracious Master and my God,
assist me to proclaim,
and spread through all the earth abroad
the honors of thy name.
Jesus! The name that charms our fears,
and bids our sorrows cease,
'tis music in the sinner's ears,
'tis life and health and peace.
He speaks, and listening to his voice,
new life the dead receive;
the mournful, broken hearts rejoice;
the humble poor believe.

Hear him, ye deaf; ye voiceless ones,
your loosened tongues employ:
ye blind, behold, your Savior comes,
and leap, ye lame, for joy!
Glory to God and praise and love
be now and ever given
by saints below and saints above,
the Church in earth and heaven. PD

from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by
the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you,
and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord.

Summary of the Law
Hear what our Lord Jesus Christ said.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your
soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great command-
ment. And the second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as
yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the
Prophets.

O LORD God, whose Son Jesus Christ suffered and died for us and
in His resurrection restores life and peace to all creation; O Lord
God, our Redeemer, Defender, Protector, and Avenger, we pray for

encouragement to them by Your Holy Spirit. Look upon them and
help us to honor those who are suffering or have died in Your ser-
vice. Comfort their families and give them courage. Thwart the op-

Congregational Prayer for the Children
Abba, Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named: in adopting us as your children you made your Church one family. We give you thanks for entrusting us with the joy and care of our children. Help us to nurture them as we bring them up in the faith, that they may know your love and tender mercies all the days of their lives. May Your Holy Spirit rest upon our children and those serving them, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Sermon
Nicene Creed
Let us confess our faith in the words of the Nicene Creed:
Celebrant and People
WE believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven
and earth, of all that is, visible and invisible.
WE believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally
begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God
from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, he
came down from heaven and was incarnate from the Holy Spirit and
the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the
third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he as-
cended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his
kingdom will have no end.
WE believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who pro-
ceeds from the Father [and the Son], who with the Father and the
Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the
prophets.
WE believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowl-
edge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resur-
rection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Socks, Socks, and More Socks!
It may surprise you to know that, according to the various schools in
our community of Riverside, socks are something they always need
— and never have enough! So Hope4Riverside is collecting
SOCKS. Please bring socks of all sizes from kindergarten to high
school next week and the week after. We will be turning them over
to the Mad River Local School Board for sorting by size and distrib-
uting through the schools in our community as the need arises.
Such a small thing — and something many of us take for granted —
but socks can make a real difference to a child who has very little.
The Men's Bible study has begun and will meet again next on
Thursday, February 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Green Room. We are
starting in Proverbs, and are looking for men of all ages to attend
and be part of this study/mentoring ministry. If you planning to at-
tend, or have any questions, please email me at

Grant these our prayers, O Father, for Jesus Christ’s sake, our only
Mediator and Advocate. Amen.
The Confession and Absolution of Sin
We pray to you also for the forgiveness of our sins.
Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in
thought, word and deed, by what we have done, and by what we
have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we
have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and
we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have
mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and
walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

OUR PRAYERS
Prayer for the Sick
O Lord, who feels the pain of the world, and looks upon all
sick and suffering persons with pity and mercy, enfolding
them with thy love; grant that in the midst of pain or suffer-
ing they may find thy presence; to doctors and nurses grant
11
The Bishop or Priest stands and says
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who in his great mercy has
promised forgiveness of sins to all those who sincerely repent and
with true faith turn to him, have mercy upon you, pardon and de-
liver you from all your sins, confirm and strengthen you in all good-
ness, and bring you to everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen.
The Peace
Celebrant. The Peace of the Lord be always with you.
People. And with your spirit.
Then the Ministers and People may greet one another in the name
of the Lord.
Celebrant. Let us remember the words of our Lord Jesus Christ
and how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
The Offertory
The Presentation Hymn The Doxology (Old One Hundredth)
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him, all creatures here below.
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host.
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
The Celebrant may pray the following prayer
YOURS, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory,
and the victory, and the majesty: for everything in heaven and
on earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are
exalted as Head above all.
Praying together
All things come from you, O Lord, and of your own have we given
you. Amen. (1 Chronicles 29:11, 14)
12
Then the Celebrant will say,
OUR fellow Christians of other branches of Christ’s Church, who have
been Baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit, are affectionately invited to the Lord’s Table
The Sursum Corda (Lift Up Your Hearts) The People remain standing. The Celebrant faces them and sings or says
Celebrant. The Lord be with you.
People. And with your spirit.
Celebrant. Lift up your hearts.
People. We lift them to the Lord.
Celebrant. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People. It is just and right so to do.
It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give
thanks to you, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
Because you gave Jesus Christ, your only Son, to be born for us;
who, by the working of the Holy Spirit, was made truly man, taking on
the flesh of the Virgin Mary his mother; and yet without the stain of
sin, to make us clean from sin.
Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with Angels and Arch-
angels and with all the company of heaven, who forever sing this
hymn to proclaim the glory of your Name:
21
Faint not nor fear; his arms are near. He changeth not, and thou art dear; Only believe, and thou shalt see That Christ is all in all to thee. PD
The Dismissal

The Post Communion Prayer
Let us pray.
Celebrant and People praying together
HEAVENLY Father, we thank you for feeding us with the spiritual food
of the most precious Body and Blood of your Son our Savior Jesus
Christ; and for assuring us in these holy mysteries that we are living
members of the Body of your Son, and heirs of your eternal king-
dom. And now, Father, send us out into the world to do the work
you have given us to do, to love and serve you as faithful witnesses
of Christ our Lord. To him, to you, and to the Holy Spirit, be honor
and glory, now and forever. Amen.
Prayer for Those in Need of Healing of Any Kind
The Blessing (Please stand)
THE peace of God which passes all understanding keep your hearts
and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus
Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you, and remain with you al-
ways. Amen.
The Recessional Fight the Good Fight
Fight the good fight with all thy might; Christ is thy strength and Christ thy right. Lay hold on life, and it shall be Thy joy and crown eternally. Run the straight race through God’s good grace; Lift up thine eyes and seek his face. Life with its way before us lies; Christ is the path and Christ the prize. Cast care aside; lean on thy Guide. His boundless mercy will provide; Trust, and thy trusting soul shall prove Christ is its life and Christ its love.
13
The Sanctus
Celebrant. Let us pray
Prayer of Consecration
ALMIGHTY God, our heavenly Father, in your tender mercy, you gave
your only Son Jesus Christ to suffer death upon the cross for our
redemption. He offered himself and made, once for all time, a per-
fect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. He insti-
tuted this remembrance of his passion and death, which he
commanded us to continue until he comes again. So now, Father,
14
we ask you to bless and sanctify, with your Word and Holy
Spirit, these gifts of bread and wine that we may partake of his most
blessed Body and Blood.
ON the night that he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus Christ took
bread; and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to
his disciples, saying, “Take, eat; this is my Body which is given for
you: Do this in remembrance of me.”
AFTER supper, Jesus took the cup, and when he had given thanks,
he gave it to them, saying, “Drink this, all of you; for this is my Blood
of the New Covenant, which is shed for you, and for many, for the
forgiveness of sins: Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance
of me.” THEREFORE we proclaim the mystery of faith:
Celebrant and People praying together
Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
LORD and heavenly Father, with these holy gifts we celebrate the
memorial instituted by your beloved Son, remembering his passion
and death, his resurrection and ascension, and his promise to come
again. Grant that by his merits and death, and through faith in his
Blood, we and your whole Church may receive forgiveness of our
sins and all other benefits of his passion, making us one body with
him that he may dwell in us, and we in him.
And here we offer to you, O Lord, our selves, our souls and bodies,
to be a living sacrifice, through Jesus Christ our Lord. BY him and
with him and in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honor and
glory is yours, Almighty Father, now and forever. Amen.

The Prayer of Humble Access
Celebrant and People praying together
WE do not presume to come to this your table, merciful Lord, trust-
ing in our own righteousness, but in your abundant and great mer-
cies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under
your table. But you are the same Lord, who always delights in
showing mercy. Grant us, therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the
flesh of your dear Son Jesus Christ and to drink his blood, that our
sinful bodies may be made clean by his body, and our souls
washed through his most precious blood, and that we may ever-
more dwell in him, and he in us. Amen.

You are the potter
I am the clay
Mold me and make me
This is what I pray

Forever Reign
You are good,You are good
When there's nothing good in me.
You are love, You are love
On display for all to see.
You are light, You are light
When the darkness closes in.
You are hope, You are hope
You have covered all my sin.
