Seamfix was founded by 4 visionary entrepreneurs that would later become 2. In October, it was formally incorporated to conduct business in Nigeria. With a starting capital of $500 (N75,000), the company’s first offerings were websites and custom solutions to small scale enterprises.
2007
We partnered with 2 leading financial institutions to develop school management solutions for tertiary and secondary schools.We also became one of six Sun Microsystems Certified Partners (which later transformed to Oracle Partners) in West Africa.
2008
Our ingenious team created our first biometric solution, BioCapture. Partnering with Electronic Test Company (ETC), the platform was deployed in 6 higher institutions in Nigeria.
Later that year, we implemented a school management portal for Lagos State Polytechnic.
2009
Following a need to urgently adhere to NCC directives, we bid and won the project to implement a KYC SIM Registration Biometric solution for Zain (Now Airtel) Telecommunications. As a result, Airtel became the first Telco to adhere to this directive in the country. As a result of the successful implementation for Zain, Starcomms Plc became the second organization to adopt our KYC SIM Registration Biometric solution, doing so in July.
2010
2012
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) contracted Seamfix in October for the implementation and provision of the Enrolment Software, Pre-Enrolment Portal and core technology components for the National Identity Card program. We also implemented several biometric data capture projects within different LGAs in over 6 states of the federation (in partnership with Skye bank). The same was done for other government parastatals and security agencies within the year. We began implementation of eVAP (Electronic Value Added Peddling) project for online sales of petroleum products for Oando Marketing (now OVH) and concluded go-live in November. The year rounded off with a conclusion on digitization of the over 30,000 alumni files and go-live of the UNN iTranscript Portal, enabling transcript applications for alumni around the world.

Seamfix was selected by the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to design, develop, and implement the National Oil & Gas Industry Commission Joint Qualification System (NOGIC JQS) Portal. This was to facilitate the Board’s adherence to the Nigerian Content Act of 2010 for the oil & gas sector.
The NOGIC JQS Portal went live on the 16th of August 2011. In the same year, we conceptualized iTranscript as a solution to identified problems in transcript management in the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). Engagement began with the school for implementation, and soon, we were contracted to proceed.
2011
After 6 months of conceptualizing, building, alpha launch and tests, we went live on FuelVoucher.com.ng. We went live on Romslite – a forecourt (station) management and reporting system – for Oando Marketing (Now OVH). We also Implemented 4 biometric data capture projects for other corporate institutions and NGOs during the calendar year.

We implemented three new platforms - ʞ AutoTopUp, an automated airtime and
data recharge solution ʞ BioRegistra, a cloudbased data capture
platform for individuals and businesses. ʞ Verified.ng, an identity verification
platform.
FuelVoucher.com.ng and Interswitch entered partnerships with 3 of the leading downstream oil marketing firms OVH Energy (formerly Oando), Forte Oil, and RainOil for the broadening of the distribution and redemption network for Fuel Vouchers.

2016
Seamfix revamped the Airtel SIM Registration platform, SmartClient, and deployed a more robust and compliant solution, BioSmart.
Seamfix Nigeria Limited emerged as the I.T Services and Support Company of the year in the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Technology Awards, with our directors recognized for their contributions to the growth of the ICT sector in Nigeria.
We were also listed as one of 100 Best Companies to work for in Nigeria in a report by Jobberman.com, Nigeria’s leading recruitment website.
2015
In a letter to the Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) endorsed and recommended iTranscript in June.
FuelVoucher.com.ng and Interswitch entered a strategic partnership for the scaling of voucher redemption points across various payment terminals in filling stations nationwide.
Together with iDesign Multimedia Ltd, United Kingdom, we implemented the ATM Advertising and Customer Engagement Solution for First Bank of Nigeria in August. This was done across all its self-service channels.
Following MTN Nigeria’s urgent need to resolve KYC issues as raised by governing body, NCC, we went live on its KYC SIM Registration platform, BioSmart, in a record 10 days. This is un-officially the fastest SIM registration implementation in the world.

The Seamfix Registration Operations Portal (SeamROP) is a component of BioSmart and a robust management portal that is responsible for the management of all data capture activities of agents & admins, as well as the tracking devices & kits used across the biometric project.
Some featuresUser ManagementThis module is used to manage user account creation on the BioSmart KYC Suite. Activities in the module include user account creation and update, user account activation and deactivation, password reset, and account unlocking. All users on BioSmart KYC Suite are required to have an account created on SeamROP before they can interact with any component of the BioSmart suite.
Assign ManagementWith SeamROP’s mapping ability, capture devices are easily assigned to each agent and in the future can be identified based on the ownership status of each device.
Reporating ToolThe reporting feature enables you to generate reports in various formats (Excel, CSV, PDF, etc.) which can be used for improved decision making.
Blacklisting/WhitelistingCapture devices can be whitelisted or blacklisted as the case may be. Blacklisting can occur in the case of a fraudulent activity by a device and hence, it’s deactivation. The device can only operate again when the relevant administrator whitelists from the system.
Issue Log ManagementThis feature enables agents to report device or agent-related issues and get quick feedback on resolutions.
