Genacross Lutheran Services, formerly known as Lutheran Homes Society, has been serving and inspiring people in need for over 150 years. We first opened our doors to orphans, then seniors, and eventually to people of all ages and backgrounds. We now serve approximately 4,000 people throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

A Christian organization supported by nearly 170 Lutheran congregations across the region, we care for people throughout all stages of life’s journey. Our services for seniors include affordable housing, independent living, assisted living, nursing care, complex medical care, memory care services, and more, but our most important offering to older adults is respect for

their dignity and worth as human beings.

LIFE AT BETHANY PLACE Bethany Place is a market-rate senior apartment community that provides individuals, age 55 years or older, with an inviting place to call home. The vibrant community offers a beautiful setting along with a caring staff. Many of our residents live independently in a beautiful retirement setting with numerous services, amenities, and opportunities to engage in social activities and embrace life to its fullest.

Genacross Lutheran Services is committed to helping residents age in place and maintain their independence. A Service Coordinator is on site to assist residents with medical bills or insurance claims, apply for public assistance, or arrange for home health care – all which can help in maintaining an independent lifestyle.

COST Rent varies depending on layout of the apartment and level of care. The monthly rent includes the cost of meals, housekeeping, laundry services, utilities (except telephone), and interior and exterior maintenance. Please contact the administrator for current rates.

Life at Bethany Place is made easier for our residents because many of the worries of maintaining a home are taken care of for them at no extra cost, including:

• Nutritious meals served restaurant-style in our dining room

• Light housekeeping and laundry services twice a month

• Individualized, locked mailboxes and daily outgoing mail service

• Interior and exterior maintenance

• Wellness programs

• Planned and supervised activities

Enhanced independent living services are also available for a fee.

Assisted LivingBethany Place now has 12 assisted living apartments for residents who are no longer able to live independently, but do not require constant care either. Our license to provide assisted living services expands the continuum of care available at this senior community.

Assisted living residents receive all the services and amenities available to independent living residents, as well as these additional services:

• 24-hour nursing care

• Daily monitoring

• Weekly housekeeping and laundry (includes changing of bed linens)

• Personal care assistance*

• Medication management*

• Therapy services*

Residents have the support of professional staff to help them remain as active and independent as possible. We offer varying levels of care – from moderate to more comprehensive assistance. Residents receive individualized services and an array of activities tailored to their interests and abilities.
