Tom Fryer Takes Publicity Position

Goodbye, Lenin! is our May Movie

We will show the German tragicomedy Goodbye, Lenin! at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, in Peacock Hall.

Christiane is a devoted East German Communist apparatchik, who suffers a heart attack and resulting coma before the fall of the Wall. When she awakens, her son and daughter decide that the shock of reunification and capitalism might kill her, so they contrive to keep her from learning of the changes.

This R-rated film was nominated for a Golden Globe award. It is in German with English language captions. It is two hours long, and is free to all Rossmoor residents. Additional information: John Littig 256-8558.

The American Psychiatric Society defines as "delusional psychotics," groups and individuals that cling to falsehoods. To be psychotic, the delusion must be false, but believed to be true, and impossible to correct. Falsehoods that have increased delusional psychosis among Democrats and other neurotic groups and individuals include: “Qu'ils mangent de la brioche." Marie Antoinette never said "Let them eat cake." The revolutionaries wanted to believe she did, and it was impossible to correct them. Therefore, Marie Antoinette, consort Queen of King Louis XVI, was guillotined. "I can see Russia from my house." Sarah Palin never said it; Tina Faye, the SNL comedienne did. But voters believed it was true and it was impossible to correct them. The Alaska governor was politically guillotined. "If you like your health plan you can keep it." Barack Obama said it, but voters believed his lie and it was impossible to correct them. An inept community organizer bred to despise free market capitalism is now destroying the world's greatest health care system. Delusional psychosis is epidemic in San Francisco and Bay Area counties. Suffer a dinner party on Telegraph Hill or Berkeley, and witness guilt laden women and men extol their compassion and parrot delusional l i b e r a l d o g m a . C l i n i c i a n s d e s c r i b e i t a s "transference"---common among neurotic academics and some clergy who oppose U.S. capitalism that does the most for the poor, sick, and oppressed. Delusional psychotics include: Parents who oppose

the right of other parents to know if a daughter seeks an abortion; parents with children in private schools who oppose tuition vouchers for children from low-income households; and parents who approve dual

use lavatories for male or female students who say they are the other gender. Delusional psychotics---groups and individuals that cling to falsehoods---are breeding a dependency society. Last year 47 million Americans received food stamps; 1.6 million babies were born to single moms; and 3.1 million high school students dropped out and are among the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population.

Americans that ignore the consequences of this pathology are as delusional as the Germans who ignored the pathology that gave rise to National Socialism. Its Nuremberg Health Laws started with sterilization of citizens and led to the "final solution." The U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act---Obamacare---includes a "Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute" to evaluate medical treatments. It permits the Secretary of Health to determine and to limit "alternative treatments" of the elderly, disabled, or terminally ill not recommended by the Institute. It gives the Secretary authority to place the same limitations on the treatment of "sub-populations," including racial and ethnic minorities, women, and age groups with different co-morbidities or quality of life preferences. It is delusional to think that a government "Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute" cannot degenerate into a 21st Century version of a "final solution."

The premier event at the R o s s m o o r 5 0 t h A n n i v e r s a r y celebration will be the S e p t e m b e r 1 4 performance of the Beach Boys Tribute

Band. Our Club is the sole sponsor of this

head l i ne even t . Th i s picture appeared "above the

f o l d " o n page 3 of the April 2 Rossmoor News. From the left are Club officers Mary Hufford, Pam Parsons, and Mike DeNunzio presenting a $2500 check to two representatives of the Rossmoor 50th Anniversary Committee. The Beach Boys Tribute Band performed to an overflow crowd at Rossmoor last year. Their repertoire goes beyond the Beach Boys to other rock and roll music of the '50's and 60's. The turnout will be huge, so come early. You won't be disappointed in this event!

Discussion Group Meets Monthly! The Discussion Group has no set agenda. Those who come choose the topics. A probable area of discussion in the coming months is the likelihood and ramifications of the GOP retaking the Senate. Meetings are in the Echo Room of the Event Center, 2 pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Participants are free to bring food or drink, and all are welcome. More information: Bob Randall 937-0237.

Piano Player and Song!Leader Needed! ! Thelma Olson accompanies our song leader Patti Farris for a patriotic song at each dinner meeting. Thelma cannot be at every dinner so, in last month's newsletter, we asked for a person to alternate with her. We also need a backup for Patti, in case she has

to miss a dinner. It would be a shame to have no music, but that's what we are facing if we cannot find backups for both Thelma and Patti. If you can help out by playing the piano or serving as song leader, contact Susie White at 937-0125.
