EXAMPLES: (-5) + 5 = 0

Opposites are also called ADDITIVE INVERSES.

We will explore 3 different METHODS

METHOD 2 - Number Line

We can use a number line to find the sum of 2 integers.

Method 3 - Rules for adding integers

Adding the The sum of 2 positive numbers is POSITIVE.
