NEWS FROM THE NEST Last Thursday, we held our Kindergarten Graduation. The event was a beautiful and sweet moment for the students and their families. Thank you to our Chairpersons, Laura Graham and Maria Senette, and the parent volunteers, for all of your hard work to make this year’s ceremony unforgettable. All students in 1st – 6th grade, who completed their Accelerated Reader requirements for the year, will be able to participate in an ice cream reward party on Monday, May 21st (1st-3rd grades) and Tuesday, May 22nd (4th - 6th grades). Congratulations to all these students! Many thanks to Chairperson Shawn Klein, and the Accelerated Reader Committee for organizing all of the quarterly AR rewards. The PTCC is offering School Supply Packs for the 2018-2019 school year. By ordering your child’s school supplies in advance, you will save time and also be assured that your child has the right supplies, in his/her classroom, on the first day of school. The packs will be all inclusive. There will be no need to purchase additional items through the bookstore. If you wish to take advantage of this program, please see the flyer attached to the Tuesday Note. Should you have any questions, contact one of our Committee Chairpersons: Amy Simmons at [email protected], Wendy Lorenz at [email protected] or Kelly Parker at [email protected]

The Lost and Found Committee is asking that you please have your children check the lost and found container, located outside of the school library, for missing sweaters, fleece, and lunch kits. It is very helpful if your child’s full name is written on the tag of these items. The container is checked frequently, and all clearly marked items are delivered to the students. At the end of the school year, all unclaimed items will be donated to the OLL Uniform Swap, which will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018. Please take note to all uniform collections for the 9th annual Uniform Swap. Collection dates are attached to the Tuesday Note. Uniform Swap Day will be held Monday, May 21st. If you have any questions, please contact Chairperson Alicia Dantin at [email protected] or 985-630-7279.

Please remember to continue clipping Box Tops and Community Coffee labels. We will resume collections next school year. It is very important that every family in the school clip and save these labels to raise money for our organization. It is an easy way to make a BIG difference! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a PTCC board member. Have a great week!

Gabrielle Chiasson Memorial Scholarship

Memorial Walk for Gabby

Tuesday, May 22, 2018

8:00 a.m.

We would like to end the school year united in prayer to celebrate the life of Gabby Chiasson. Gabby’s determination, spirit, perseverance, sense of humor, and incredible faith continue to be an inspiration to us all. Our Memorial Walk for Gabby will begin with prayer in the Msgr. Joseph Chotin Center followed by a walk on campus. The donations from our walk will allow us to continue the Gabrielle Chiasson Memorial Scholarship. All donations should be made out to the “Gabrielle Chiasson Memorial Scholarship Fund.”

Students who have already completed the school year (Preschool, Kindergarten and 7th

grade) are welcome to return and participate in the memorial walk. The parent of any student returning to campus for the walk must stay and walk with the student and leave upon completion of the event. All other students will walk with their classes and homeroom teachers. Spirit shirts may be worn with uniform skorts, skirts, or shorts. Regular uniform shoes are required. Please apply sunscreen to your child prior to school, and provide a water bottle for your child, if desired.

We are looking forward to a successful event as OLL comes together to celebrate

Gabby!
