Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
IGNITE YOUR TORCH! OUR YOUTH THANK YOU!The Youth of Visitation and Holy Rosary
send out a huge thank you!
We had a fantastic conference at Portland University July 6-9, 2018! All told, 11 teens and 1 adult from Visitation and Holy Rosary were able to go. The workshops, Eucharistic Adoration, and prayers were some of our highlights. Those of us who hadn’t really known the Rosary learned it well, as we prayed it often—most of the time on our knees! Thank you for your prayers and financial support. We still have not quite met our goal so if you were wanting to help us out—there’s still time. Contact Kristen at Visitation. We look forward to sharing the fruits of this conference with everyone this coming year, and look forward to Ignite 2019!
ON THE COVERSaint Lawrence of Brindisi, Priest and Doctor
of the Church, Feast Day is July 21. St Lawrence was a linguist, a papal
emmisary, and a missionary. Armed nothing but faith and a crucifix he led the outnumbered Holy Roman army to victory against the Turks in Hungary.
C U R I O U S A B O U T CATHOLICISM?
• Do you have questions about what Catholics believe and how Catholics practice their faith?
• Are you, or someone you know, not Catholic but would like to learn more about the teachings of the Catholic faith?
• Are you a Catholic adult seeking the Sacraments of Initiation because you did not receive them when you were younger?
We invite you to look deeper into the Catholic faith.
Starting soon, we will begin weekly inquiry sessions to share with you the truths of the Catholic faith and the fellowship of our Church family. Inquiry sessions are opportunities for you to ask those perplexing and difficult questions you may have about the Catholic Church. Please plan on joining us for one or for all of the sessions! Contact [email protected] for more information.
