My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

Congratulations again on our beautiful new baptistery! It

was nice to have Archbishop Wenski with us for such a

special day. His presence also reminds us that we are part of

a greater church and that, just as it is a blessing for us to have

him support our ministry, the Archbishop needs the blessing

of our support of his ministry as well – particularly through

ABCD (The Archbishop’s Charity and Development Drive).

This weekend is commitment weekend throughout the

Archdiocese of Miami. If you have not already made your

pledge to ABCD for this year you will have the chance to do

so at Mass. Again, I ask for your help in two ways:

That all of us who pledged last year renew our pledges

(increasing them a little if possible), and

That each and every one of us give something. You

can help us reach that goal by reaching out to one

member of your family or one of your friends who is

not currently supporting ABCD and share with them

why ABCD is important and why you support it.

Please ask them to make at least a small commitment,

maybe $1 a day ($365) to support the work of

salvation.

Pledge envelopes are available in the pews and at all the

church entrances. Again, thank you for your support of

ABCD. It makes a difference.

Mi Querida Familia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes,

¡Felicidades de nuevo en nuestro hermoso nuevo baptisterio!

Fue agradable tener al Arzobispo Wenski con nosotros en un

día tan especial. Su presencia también nos recuerda que

somos parte de una iglesia mayor y que, al igual que es una

bendición para nosotros contar con su apoyo en nuestro

ministerio, el Arzobispo necesita la bendición de nuestro

apoyo en su ministerio también - particularmente a través de

ABCD (The Archbishop’s Charity and Development Drive

por sus siglas en ingles).

Este fin de semana es el fin de semana de compromiso en

toda la Arquidiócesis de Miami. Si aún no ha hecho su

promesa a ABCD para este año tendrá la oportunidad de

hacerlo en la Misa. Una vez más, les pido su ayuda en dos

maneras:

Que todos los que nos comprometimos el año pasado

renovemos nuestra promesa (aumentando un poco si es

posible), y

Que todos y cada uno de nosotros demos algo. Usted

puede ayudarnos a alcanzar esa meta llegando a un
