New Sunday Mass Times Beginning next Sunday, September 20th, Mass mes will be pushed back one-half hour. New Mass mes are: 7:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 10:00 AM (Español) When we are allowed to resume Mass inside the church, we will return to the previous
mes with the 6:30 AM Mass inside. We will also re-evaluate the loca on of Masses based on the weather since outdoor Mass accommodates more people. Please con nue to check the bulle n and the website to confirm any changes. Thank you for your understanding.

What: Informa onal Mee ng & Mixer re OLPH Young Adult Group When: 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Where: Our Lady’s Rosary Plaza at OLPH Why: To grow in faith and fellowship with Catholics in their 20s and 30s. How: This event is free and open to the public. No reserva ons are necessary. There are two ways to join in the fun and help: 1. by purchasing/selling raffle ckets, and
2. by par cipa ng in our virtual silent auc on.
RAFFLE TICKETS
LET US PRAY! Recognizing the challenges that we have faced since the onset of the pandemic, Bishop Joseph Brennan has put forth a spiritual initiative for the Diocese. This initiative invites us to prayer and fasting to combat the virus and to prepare ourselves for upcoming moments of decision in our communities and country. This initiative is called LET US PRAY! We are invited to Pray for: • Many of our people who are in fear • Those who have died or lost a loved one • The sick and elderly who are isolated from family
and pastoral visits • An end to racism around us and within us • Everyone asking for healing and deliverance from
this pandemic, from the wildfires, and for all the many needs of God’s people and of our country as we prepare for an election
This initiative will last 40 days: September 14th – October 23rd . During this time there will be a special prayer read at the conclusion of every Mass and special intentions added to the Prayers of the Faithful. We will also be scheduling opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration, a 40-Hour devotion, and a public recitation of the Rosary. These last items are still being planned, but information will be forthcoming. Let us join our Bishop and all our brothers and sisters in this initiative … LET US PRAY!
Exaltation of the Cross Special Mass and Veneration of the Cross
The shutdown due to the pandemic has been challenging for everyone. It has been especially challenging for many. People have suffered deaths in the family and may not have been able to say goodbye be-cause of visiting restrictions. Others have been isolated from family that are in restricted facilities. Some have lost jobs. And the list goes on. The struggles and adversities of life are never easy but with faith and the grace of God, good can always come out of any trial, out of any evil. The Feast of the Tri-umph of the Cross celebrates this truth. Out of the most horrible act of torture and suffering came the salvation of the world and the conquering of sin and death. You are invited to a special Mass to be celebrat-ed at 6:00 pm on Monday, September 14th on the grass field. At this Mass we will also celebrate the Veneration of the Cross. This tradi-tional action could not take place on Good Friday. Although we still have some limitations, we will have a veneration where the faithful can offer a gesture of respect and honor.
Common Prayer for LET US PRAY! Initiative
Holy Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of the Angels and Mother of the Americas. We fly to you today as your beloved children. We ask you to intercede for us with your Son, as you did at the wedding in Cana. Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our nation and world, and for all our families and loved ones, the protection of your holy angels, that we may be spared the worst of this illness. For those already afflicted, we ask you to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance. Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful, wipe away their tears and help them to trust. In this time of trial and testing, teach all of us in the Church to love one another and to be patient and kind. Help us to bring the peace of Jesus to our land and to our hearts. We come to you with confidence, knowing that you truly are our compassionate mother, health of the sick and cause of our joy. Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, keep us in the embrace of your arms, help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus. Amen.
