13th Sunday in Ordinary Time
After three very special Sunday’s celebrating Pen-tecost, the Most Holy Trinity and last weekend the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Church is now on a regular pattern for a while.
With Summer now here , a few hymns /songs will
take on a lighter flavor, celebrating creation, the Earth, nature and as in today’s Processional Hymn, the mention of birds, dew, rainfall and wet gardens. It’s actually pretty refreshing to hear such poetry.
The Gospel verse today is summed up by us asking the Lord to speak to us through his word, and assuring him that we are listening and lastly, in agreement that the Lord’s words are indeed words of everlasting life. Our Presentation Hymn contains a perfect, simple message. Give Me Ears to Listen is a desire for us, the people of God, to heed the Lord’s plea to us, that being, for us ask-
ing to be his servant and to follow him by walking his
way.
The moving refrain pleads Give me ears to listen, give me eyes to see. Give me words to speak and show your face to me. Through the verses to this song, we are following, listening and hopefully receiving inspiring words to share, comfort and to console others.
A new song we introduced in Advent of 2018, which we have now sung for two seasons, is most appro-
priate for the today’s Gospel.
Jesus Christ, Homeless One contains the words in the second paragraph of Luke’s Gospel reading. “Foxes

****Bible Camp**** Starts Tomorrow
Monday, July 1st-Friday, July 12th
Children age 3 and up are welcome to come. Camp takes place in the Church
Hall, Monday through Friday, 9:00—noon . Cost : $20 per child or $40 per family. Teenagers and adults are wel-come to volunteer to assist. Teenagers will receive service hours toward their confirmation.

The Children’s Liturgy of the World
Will RESUME this weekend
Catholic Heart Workcamp Catholic Heart Work Camp is an immersion experience for young people helping the poor and needy and will take place July 7th through July 13th at East Catholic High School.
The camp attendees will learn skills that will help those who lack adequate house, meet with your peers for prayer, wor-ship, discussion as well as social activities.

Tiramisu Bowl Serves 16
1 pkg. (8oz.) Cream Cheese 3 cups cold milk 2 pkg.(3.4 oz each) Vanilla Instant Pudding 1 tub (8oz.) Cool Whip , thawed, divided 48 Vanilla Wafers 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled, divided 2 squares Semi-Sweet Chocolate, grated 1 cup fresh raspberries Beat cream cheese with mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in milk and pudding mixes. Stir in 2 cups Cool Whip. Line 2 1/2-qt.bowl with 24 wafers; drizzle with1/4 cup coffee. Top with half the pudding mixture and half of the chocolate. Repeat layers, starting with wafers. Top with remaining Cool Whip and raspberries. Refrigerate 2 hours.

THANK YOU TO OUR PARISH CHOIR The Parish Choir has completed another academic year. We sincerely thank them for all their time, effort and most of all their talent and dedication to this wonderful , vibrant Parish. A great deal of preparation and rehearsal time goes into the choral music that is offered at the 10 AM Liturgy as well as Holy Week and Christmas Eve.
Thank You to All Choir Members! A special Thank You to Joanne Lambert, Gloria Appicelli and Louise Talarczyk for providing the solo music at the Solemn Mass of Corpus Christi last weekend. Also, for the chanting of the Sequence “Laud, O Zion” (Lauda Sion) that was sung during the Solemn Procession of the Blessed Sacrament. It was appreciated!

Ministry Fair September 7th and 8th
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Par-ish will be hosting a time and talent ministry fair the weekend of September 7th and 8th. The purpose of the fair is to generate awareness, enthusiasm and involve-ment among our parishioners and to ultimately in-crease our parish ministries. Active participation in our parish community is vital to the life of the Church. The fair will showcase all of our parish ministries and you will be able to discern how your particular talents can be used to serve others. Through our Baptism, we are each called to be followers and disciples of Jesus Christ. We encourage you to spend time over the sum-mer praying about where God is calling you to share your faith, time and talents. More information will be posted as the date becomes closer. We look forward to seeing you there.

HARTFORD — Archbishop Leonard P. Blair ordained two men to the priesthood at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford on June 22nd. The newly ordained priests are the Rev. Anthony Federico of North Haven; and the Rev. John Gancarz of Suffield. The candidates have completed at least six years of for-mation and studies in theology and philosophy, in addition to undergraduate studies in different fields. Vocation Direc-tor of the Archdiocese of Hartford, Rev. Michael Casey, has accompanied the men on this last year of formation and serves as a liaison between the seminary formation teams and Archbishop Blair, who ultimately decided to call the men to the priesthood. The Rev. Federico, 35, attended minor seminary at St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, MA, and major seminary at Theological College in Washington, DC. In preparation for the priesthood, he served at various parishes and offices in the Archdiocese including: St. Thomas Beckett in Cheshire, the Office of Radio and Television in Prospect, SS. Peter & Paul and St. Leo the Great in Waterbury, St. Mary in Newington, St. Thomas in Southington, Annunciation in Newington, St. Frances Cabrini in North Haven, St. Vincent de Paul in East Haven, and St. Bridget in Cheshire. ~ taken from New Haven Register June 23, 2019
