INFANT BAPTISMS For children under 7 years of age, the sacrament is celebrated the FIRST Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. The parents must register in the parish office at least 4 weeks prior to the baptism. Both parents and godparents are expected to attend one catechetical session in advance, on the Wednesday before the baptism, at 7:00 pm.

SACRAMENTS OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION Before being fully initiated into the sacramental life of the Church, children over the age of 7 will need catechetical prepa-ration through the RCIC process. Teenagers and adults will par-ticipate in separate RCIA processes. CONFIRMATION and COMMUNION For those already baptized, preparation for these Sacraments will take place according to the person’s age and knowledge of the Catholic Faith. For further information contact the Office of Faith Formation Program.

MARRIAGES Couples should contact the parish office at least six months in advance to make the proper ar rangements for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Join us as we pray for Marriages this week in church February 11-15th  

Monday – Thursday starting at 6:30pm there will be a rosary before the Blessed Sacrament in the Church.

During this time there will be a reflection given by a married couple on marriage. On Friday the rosary will begin at 6pm and there will be Mass at 7pm

followed by refreshments in the Fatima Room.

All are invited to come and pray for marriages that they may follow the God’s call to love and be blessed.

Esta semana únase a nosotros para orar por los matrimonios en la iglesia

del 11 al 15 de febrero.  

De lunes a jueves a las 6:30 pm habrá un rosario ante el Santísimo Sacramento en la Iglesia. Durante este tiempo habrá una reflexión dada por una pareja casada sobre el matrimonio.

El viernes, el rosario comenzará a las 6 pm y habrá misa a las 7 pm, seguido de un refrigerio en la Sala de Fátima.

Todos están invitados a venir y orar por los matrimonios para que puedan seguir el llamado de Dios de amar y ser bendecidos.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK Dear Parishioners, I love to see families together in the church. The anchor to those families is the marriage. A mar-riage is a sacramental bond between a man and a woman in the church forms a foundation that nourishes the domestic church. There are different types of relationships that are possible between people. In all relationships in life we need to ask for the grace and strength to keep it holy, that is in union with God and his will for us. When Jesus spoke about marriage he said, “…from the begin-ning, the Creator ‘…made them male and female’… Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate (Mt 19:4,6) .” A man and woman who choose to marry needs to do so with God at the center and let God help them grow in a vocation of love that is strengthened by him. This Sunday is the second Sunday of February and is called World Marriage Day. This is an ob-servance sponsored by the American organization of Worldwide Marriage Encounter, associated with the Catholic Marriage Encounter movement. World Marriage Day and National Marriage Week are opportunities to reflect on the meaning of marriage and to pray for the strengthening of marriage in our society. In the Bishops Pastoral Message in 1994, “Follow the Way of Love”, they state: A committed, permanent, faithful relationship of husband and wife is the root of a family. It strength-ens all the members, provides best for the needs of children, and causes the church of the home to be an effective sign of Christ in the world. Here at Our Lady of Fatima we invite all to come to the church and pray for marriages that they may be holy, fruitful and blessed. We will pray the rosary before the Blessed Sacrament and have reflections Mon-Thurs, 2/11-14, 6:30-7:30pm and on Friday, 2/15, 6-7pm with Mass at 7pm and re-freshments to follow. All are invited. Queridos Feligreses:

Me encanta ver a las familias juntas en la iglesia. El ancla a esas familias es el matrimonio. Un matrimonio es un vínculo sacramental entre un hombre y una mujer en la iglesia que for-ma una base que nutre a la iglesia doméstica. Hay diferentes tipos de relaciones que son posi-bles entre las personas. En todas las relaciones en la vida debemos pedir la gracia y la forta-leza para ser santificado, es decir, en unión con Dios y su voluntad para nosotros. Cuando Jesús habló sobre el matrimonio, dijo: "... desde un principio, los hizo hombre y mujer, …. Así pues, lo que Dios ha unido, que no lo separe elo hombre".(Mt 19:4, 6).l Un hombre y una mu-jer que eligen casarse necesitan hazlo con Dios en el centro y deja que Dios los ayude a crecer en una vocación de amor que él fortalece. Este domingo es el segundo domingo de febrero y se llama Día Mundial del Matrimonio. Esta es una observancia patrocinada por la organización estadounidense de Encuentro Matri-monial Mundial, asociada con el movimiento Encuentro Matrimonial Católico. El Día Mundi-al del Matrimonio y la Semana Nacional del Matrimonio son oportunidades para reflexionar sobre el significado del matrimonio y orar por el fortalecimiento del matrimonio en nuestra sociedad. En el mensaje pastoral de los obispos en 1994, "Sigue el camino del amor", afirman: Una relación comprometida, permanente y fiel de marido y mujer es la raíz de una familia. Fortalece a todos los miembros, proporciona lo mejor para las necesidades de los niños y hace que la iglesia del hogar sea un signo efectivo de Cristo en el mundo.
