FROM OUR PASTOR Dear Parishioners and Friends of Our Lady of Fatima, AtthebeginningwehavethegiftsoftheHolySpiritlisted.Theyareinreferenceoftheonewhoistocome.JesuswasshoweredwiththesegiftsandbroughttheKingdomofGodtoearth.Wherehewalkedhebroughtpeace,butatthefringesofHiswake,wasstillchaosanddestruction.HeturnedoverthepowertoHisdisciplestocontinuespreadingtheKing‐domofGodonearth.ThishasthenbeenhandedontotheentireBodyofChrist,mainlyyouandI.Whatanawesometasktobegiven.Onourownthiswouldbeimpossible,butwiththegiftsoftheHolySpirit,itbecomepossible.ThoseofusthathavereceivedtheSacramentofCon irmation,havealsoreceivedtheGiftsoftheHolySpirit:Wisdom,Understanding,Counsel,Courage,Knowledge,Piety,andAweofGod.
Ifyouaretakingtimethisweektomeditateontheword,thenmaybethesegiftscouldbeastartingpoint.Whenwewerecon irmedwere‐ceivedthem.Howoftendoweactivelycalluponthemandusethem?HowcouldweusethemmoretobringpeaceintotheworldandfurthertheKingdomofGodonearth?
