RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM

As our Religious Education Program comes to a close, we look back at the past few weeks on the Sacrament of First Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation. We thank and acknowledge the Coordinator of our Religious Education Program, Felicia Forger for her dedication and commitment to Our Lady’s. With so many moving parts, she makes it look effortless and end result is always smooth and seamless. Photos shown on our cover are a few from the Confirmation Celebration and this page shows First Communion from May 5, along with a few more photos from our Confirmation. We thank all of our teacher volunteers who share their time and talent to teach the children of our parish.

ST. VINCENT DEPAUL BOXES

Our Lady’s St. Vincent dePaul continues to quietly help many people without fundraising. The only income comes from occasional donations from parishioners, but mostly from the 4 blue metal boxes we have located at the doors of the church. Perhaps the next time you walk in OR out of church, you might notice the box and drop some coins or more which will greatly be appreciated. Thank you for your kindness.

OUR LADY’S FOOD PANTRY

Our Lady’s St. Vincent de Paul assists the needy of the parish. The food pantry collection is the third weekend of each month. Requested donations: Canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soup, canned hams, canned beef stew, mayonnaise, jars of pasta sauce, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, bath soap, dish washing soap, paper towels, children’s snacks. Thank you.

For those who enjoy playing the game, Our Lady’s holds Bingo every Friday night. Doors open at 5:00pm and Bingo starts at 6:45pm. The proceeds raised go towards Our Lady’s Academy.

WILL OR BEQUEST GIFTS When considering gifts to a charity in your Will or Trust, please remember Our Lady’s.

1000 CLUB

Thank you to those who continuously supported us. The cost is $55 for the year, and your last month of the year is free. These make great gifts. Please consider purchasing one. Our next drawing is THIS Sunday, May 19 at 12:30 in the school cafeteria. There are 12 chances to win. The prizes awarded are (8) $50, (1) $100, (1) $200, (1) $300 and (1) $1,000. There are two $25 door prizes drawn the day of the drawing for those who attend. Refresh-ments are served. Again, thank you for your support of Our Lady’s fundraisers. If you would like to purchase a number, please fill out below and return to Sharon in the parish office.

CATHOLIC APPEAL

Thank you to those who have already generously given to The Catholic Appeal. The goal assessed for our parish is $47,359. Your generous contributions not only matter to the appeal, but in the end, also helps OUR LADY’S PARISH, as we are responsible to pay the difference not raised. As of May 14, our gift and pledge amount is $49,200, keeping in mind that those who made “pledges” would still need to send in their donation. We thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity to help serve our wider church community.

DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET

The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed after the 8:00am daily Mass. It will begin roughly five minutes after the Mass ends. There will be a five minute quiet prayer time before the Divine Mercy Chaplet begins.

During the month of May, every Saturday at 3:00pm the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be said followed by the Rosary at 3:15pm. All are welcome to join.

ONLINE GIVING

As we get closer to summer, please consider signing up for online giving for your weekly contributions. This way of giving lessens the worries you may have about contributing consistently and it lessens our worries because we know we have the steady donations of those who are away or cannot make particular weekends and participate in this program. Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) forms can be found on all the tables around the church. Simply fill out the form and return to Sharon in the parish office . You can also call Sharon at 781-894-3481 x2 and sign up over the phone. If you should have any questions, please contact the parish office.
